Love is Blind season 7 has already wrapped up, with fans now patiently waiting for the reunion episode to air. Episode 12, the season finale aired on October 23, 2024, showcased the couples who made it to the altar. Unfortunately, Marissa George and Ramses Prashad weren't among them. The couple parted ways after Ramses initiated the breakup, saying their energies didn't match in the real world and their connection wasn't the same as in the pods.
In an exclusive interview with Glamour Magazine on October 23, 2024, Marissa opened up about the breakup and how her mother's intuition and judgment about Ramses were right. Marissa explained that her mother had conversations with Ramses off-camera, which was linked to his divorce and career. According to the Love is Blind contestant, her mom thought Ramses had a "superiority complex," she said:
"She said that she felt like he had a superiority complex. She tried to give him a chance. She had been nice to him off camera, but once they had the conversation surrounding his ex-wife, they don’t show it but she literally cuts him off and says, 'I’m done listening to what you have to say.'"
Love is Blind contestant Marissa opens up about Ramses' behavior and her mom's concerns
According to Marissa's mom, Ramses was different from the people her daughter usually dated. She had concerns about him not having a college degree and whether Marissa would have to take care of him in their relationship. As fans already know, the Love is Blind contestant was pursuing higher education in law, so Marissa's mom questioned if Ramses was in the relationship for money.
Marissa admitted that her mother came off as "harsh" towards Ramses on camera. But now that the Love is Blind cast member has watched the episodes, she realized that her mom "saw through that" and "also saw that I would have to carry him in the relationship." Marissa explained how Ramses tried to prove he was "more progressive" than her:
"There is a moral superiority that comes into play in our conversations, where it’s like, okay, I don’t have a degree, I don’t have this, I don’t have that, but I am more progressive than you, and I care more about the world than you, so therefore I’m gonna say it in small ways to make you feel that way."
She continued:
"At the time, I didn’t really notice it, but I see it now. And I already have my sister being my progressive awakening. I don’t need yours."
During the interview, the 32-year-old lawyer mentioned "he's as feminist as he thinks he is," and Ramses had a hint of "moral superiority" in his behavior. Marissa also discussed her mom's conversation with Ramses, the Love is Blind contestant admitted that "she's not perfect" and "has a lot of work to do on herself." Marissa elaborated:
"I think people just need to be a little bit more kind. Being a parent is hard and she’s not perfect, and she has a lot of work to do on herself. But that doesn’t mean she freaking hates her children because she called me a b*tch on TV. It’s crazy, people are like, 'Oh my God, I would never call someone out of their name.' We all have, come on."
