Everything to know about the The Later Daters

Format and rules

The format of The Later Daters revolves around a professional dating coach, Logan Ury, setting up blind dates. The program starts by going to the home of each participant to better understand their history and see if there is an emotional or psychological reason they have been unable to date.

This includes conversations with family members or very close friends who are integral to the participants' journey. Then, contestants are given a series of blind dates with age-appropriate potential matches.

The dating coach gives advice before the date, and then hold a follow-up discussion after to evaluate the development and give feedback. This helps participants gain over their insecurities and place realistic expectations on their dating experiences.

The primary rule for participation is that the contestants must be aged 50 or older, and they are encouraged to be open to learning modern dating etiquettes. As the participants are mostly widows, widowers, and divorcees, they come with a range of experiences, individual aspirations, and perspectives.
