The year 2000 saw the debut of Jeff Probst as the host of Survivor, a television show that achieved tremendous popularity and has stood the test of time with over 40 seasons. Jeff Probst rose to fame due to the show's success and became famous for phrases like "The tribe has spoken."

Probst has been a crucial part of the show's format since the beginning, skillfully managing the challenges, tribal councils, and interpersonal dynamics. Jeff Probst became more involved in Survivor as an executive producer in 2010. He is credited with keeping the show fresh and relevant for over two decades.

He has hosted every season of Survivor (over 40 seasons and counting) as Probst is fully dedicated to Survivor, viewing it as more than just a job. Early Career

Jeff Probst hosted several shows before Survivor, including Backchat, and Sound FX, and worked as a correspondent for Access Hollywood.

In 2001, People magazine named Probst one of the "50 Most Beautiful People." He contributed to Jeopardy! by giving Survivor-related clues and appeared on Celebrity Jeopardy! in 2001 and 2003. Additionally, Probst wrote and directed the Lionsgate-released film Finder's Fee.

Jeff, alongside hosting Survivor, has been a guest on several TV shows. He's been on Jeopardy! and Celebrity Jeopardy! , MadTV since the 9th season, CBS's I Get That A Lot, a cameo in How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Life in Pieces, and also voiced for Family Guy and Saturday Night.

In 2012, CBS gave Probst his own show called The Jeff Probst Show. However, it was canceled after just one season due to low ratings.

Probst was married to a psychotherapist, Shelley Wright, from 1996 to 2001. Following their divorce, he dated Survivor contestant Julie Berry. They broke up in 2008. In 2011, Probst married Lisa Ann Russell and became a stepfather to her two children. Jeff is an ordained minister, and has legally wed couples, and officiated at friends' weddings.


Survivor 47 is the upcoming forty-seventh season of the series, which will premiere on September 18, 2024, on CBS.
