In 2003, Manu Bennett hosted a reality show called Going Straight in New Zealand. The show featured five contestants who wore location monitoring equipment and were to complete three separate straight-line challenges in a specified "virtual lane" across a landscape. Contestants were eliminated each round, and there was a $10,000 prize for the winner.


The Summit will feature 16 contestants traversing the New Zealand Alps, each carrying a portion of a $1 million prize. Over 14 days, they will face physical challenges and moral dilemmas while trying to reach the peak of a distant mountain.
