The popular Netflix reality series Selling Sunset released season 8 on Friday, September 6, 2024. The show chronicles the lives of luxury real estate agents from Los Angeles' Oppenheim Group. It highlights the agents' professional and personal lives, focusing on their professional highs and lows along with the issues they face in their personal lives.

However, what fans seem to love the most about Selling Sunset is the drama and feuds between the agents. These feuds often lead to high-stakes conflicts and issues within intricate interpersonal relationships.

One of the main focus points of season 8 of Selling Sunset is the feud between agents Chelsea Lazkani and Bre Tiesi. The tensions between the two arose in season 6, when Bre first started appearing on the show. The issues were exacerbated in season 8, after a conversation they had during filming.

In season 6, Chelsea criticized Bre's relationship with Nick Cannon, expressing her disapproval of Nick having multiple children from other relationships. She also called Cannon a "master manipulator" before claiming that the situation was creating "multiple broken homes."

After Bre heard about these comments, she called Chelsea out, saying that it was an unwarranted intrusion into Bre's personal life. In season 8, Bre and Chelsea had a conversation where she revealed that her friend had seen Chelsea's husband making out with another woman. Chelsea, however, claimed that all of it was "premeditated."

Season 6 tensions and personal attacks

Season 8 of Selling Sunset focuses on Bre Tiesi and Chelsea Lazkani's feud and its effect on the friendships among the agents of The Oppenheim Group. However, things had been shaky between them since season 6, when Chelsea openly criticized Bre's family situation, especially her relationship with Nick Cannon.

During a conversation with her friends, Chelsea remarked that she found Bre's family dynamics off-putting and called Nick Cannon a "master manipulator." She also went on to claim that she disagreed with the way Cannon managed his relationships and fatherhood.

Chelsea's comments were seen as harsh and unnecessary, with Bre claiming that she didn't want that intrusion in her life. She also said that her personal life was not up for public judgment. During an interview with People, Tiesi said that Chelsea's opinions on her family were unwelcome. She added that she didn't need a "judge and a jury" to scrutinize her personal choices.

The cheating scandal in season 8

The feud between Selling Sunset stars Chelsea Lazkani and Bre Tiesi intensified in season 8 when new information about Chelsea's husband came out. Bre told her co-star that her friend Amanda Lynn, another real estate agent, had allegedly seen Chelsea's husband, Jeff, with another woman.

Amanda claimed that she received messages from a friend that Jeff was seen making out with another woman in a hotel. After she found out about this, Bre wrestled with sharing the information with Chelsea. Despite their rocky relationship, Bre decided to tell Chelsea about the allegations and asked to meet up.

Chelsea was visibly upset when she heard the news, and it seemed like the two might potentially reconcile. However, this reconciliation didn't seem to last too long, and Chelsea took to X to claim that the whole situation was premeditated. She claimed that Tiesi "brought her racist friend on the show to try and ruin" her [Chelsea].

"Never met the Amanda girl a day in my life but her & Bre in her words wanted to ‘take me down’. I took the scene because it was already a storyline. It was all premeditated, I just handled it the best way I could," Chelsea wrote.

Reactions and further conflict

After Bre revealed the allegations of Chelsea's husband cheating on her, the other cast members wondered about Bre's intentions behind sharing it. Emma Hernan and Chrishell Stause questioned if Bre had shared the information out of genuine concern or if it was a strategic move to create drama.

Emma speculated Bre's actions might have been designed to publicly humiliate Chelsea rather than to offer support. Things took a turn for the worse at Mary and Jason's dog's funeral, where Emma and Bre decided to end their friendship. Chelsea and Bre, meanwhile, decided to cease any attempts at mending their relationship.

This left Bre feeling isolated and being perceived as a villain within the group on Selling Sunset season 8. However, things between Tiesi and The Oppenheim Group further worsened when she brought Amanda to the office. Having Amanda there might potentially add more drama and conflicts among the agents.

While there is no confirmation if Amanda will be a part of Selling Sunset and The Oppenheim Group, fans can expect to see more drama if she does join.

All 11 episodes of Selling Sunset season 8 are available to stream on Netflix, along with all previous seasons of the show.
