In the show's trailer, released on June 29, castmates Chet Hanks and Kim Zolciak were shown getting into bed together, which sparked rumors about their potential relationship on the show. Kim, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, spoke to Us Weekly on July 19, revealing how she felt about Chet.

"I adore him. I've gotten to know him throughout The Surreal Life and even more recently and he's great," said Kim.

Chet Hanks is Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's son, widely known for his musical career and for playing significant roles in various television series.

In the trailer of Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, Kim climbed onto a bed with Chet, sparking curiosity among fans who wondered if a romantic relationship developed between them. Kim was also heard saying how "terrible" it would look on screen.

While speaking to Us Weekly, Kim said she would not forge a connection solely based on the other person's appearance. She believed a person's personality played a major role in deciding if she should pursue someone.

"I'm actually not physical at all, which is funny. I'm not. I know nobody believes that with Kroy Biermenn's body, but you could be very attractive and if you're stupid, I'm not interested," said Kim.

The 46-year-old Tardy for the Party star refused to disclose details about her rumored romance with Chet but revealed they shared a cordial relationship even after the cameras stopped rolling.

However, Kim admitted that although Chet had a "nice body," his vibrant personality piqued her interest.

"Yes, he had a nice body, but it's just kind of his vibe and what he puts off and his energy," said Kim.

The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets cast member confessed she was unaware of Chet's identity. Kim called her 27-year-old daughter, Brielle Biermann, to find out who he was.

"I did not know who he was when I walked into the house. I stepped outside to FaceTime Brielle and I said, 'There's some guy named Chet here' and she was like, 'There's only one Chet' I'm like, 'What do you mean?' She's like, 'It's Chet Hanks.' Who's Chet Hanks? She's like, 'Mom, Tom Hanks, his son,'" said Kim.

Despite being in the dark about Chet's identity, Kim revealed they developed a connection quickly. In a July 19 article by People magazine, Kim revealed what she thought of Chet as a "great guy." She mentioned she stayed in touch with him even after the show ended.

"Chet's a great guy. I mean, he's adorable. We've had a lot of incredible moments throughout the season that you'll see. We've had some deep conversations and he's great," said Kim.

Kim said since the show comprised a small group of people, they could bond with each other on a personal level. It was something she claimed she needed. She is currently getting a divorce from her husband, Kroy Biermann. The divorce case is scheduled to go to court in November.

Although her husband was unsupportive of her decision to appear on the MTV show, Kim said she needed to step away from her family to "gain some clarity" on her divorce. In the meantime, when asked to address the rumors surrounding her romantic connection with Chet, she enticed the viewers by asking them to "wait and see."

Chet also confirmed he stayed in touch with Kim after the show ended. He complimented the Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets star's personality and called her "cool as hell." He quickly realized how "awesome" she was and knew they would hit it off immediately.
