Love is Blind: Argentina premiered on Netflix on November 6, 2024, with the first four episodes. Following the same format as the original, the show features participants building emotional connections in pods.
Once engaged, couples go on a romantic getaway and reunite with fellow cast members, then test their relationships in the real world. One featured couple is 41-year-old lawyer Maria and 42-year-old fashion designer Mauricio, who enjoyed a beach date together.
In episode 4, Maria opened up about her feelings stating that she wanted to let go of not being able to express her thoughts. She stated that this was due to her getting hurt in the past. She said:
"I was afraid. So I'm letting go of not expressing myself and I guess, letting go of fear too."
Love is Blind: Argentina season 1 episode 4 titled Sun.Sand.Sparks was released exclusively on Netflix on November 6, 2024. The episode synopsis reads as the following:
"As the couples head to Tulum, Mexico, for a romantic getaway, paradise doesn't always prove sunny, with jealousy and doubts tagging along."
Love is Blind: Argentina participant Maria talks about her fear with Mauricio in episode 4
On Love is Blind: Argentina episode 4, the two love birds, Maria and Mauricio sat near the beach to discuss their problems. Maria shared the symbolic meaning behind the door nearby, flower petals and waves. She stated that the petals might mean letting go of the past and not wanting it to bring it up in their relationship. The waves on the other hand, were "meant to wash" the past away.
During this conversation, the 42-year-old lawyer admitted to not being open about how she feels. She mentioned that she wants to "let go of" not being able to share what she was "feeling and thinking." Maria said:
"There's one thing I really want to let go of and that is not being open about how I feel. I want to be able to share what I'm thinking and feeling."
Later in the episode, the Love is Blind: Argentina cast member told the cameras in her confessional interview that she wanted to leave her past "baggage" behind her. Maria stated that she was hurt in the past which is why she didn't have the "courage" to take a stand for herself, she explained:
"It's important for me to let go of things that have hurt me in the past and mistakes that I have made. Not having the courage to speak up for myself and take a risk because of the feelings I have for someone. I think I really want to leave all that baggage behind me."
Upon hearing this Mauricio told the cameras he was "surprised" that Maria struggled with expressing her love and affection. He stated that he wanted to "understand" her personality more as they both shared wanting to be physically intimate while being emotionally compatible with one another.
