Big Brother season 26 week 8 concluded with Quinn Martin's eviction. The 25-year-old nurse recruiter from Omaha was voted out by his fellow housemates in episode 27 that aired on September 12, 2024. Previously, Quinn had been the Head of the Household and used his power to remove potential threats in the game. However, Quinn's power didn't last too long and he was sent home.

Before exiting the Big Brother house, Quinn was given a friendship bracelet by Rubina. In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly on September 13, 2024, Quinn shared that Rubina's gesture was annoying. He added that the bracelet had 'jury duty' written on it and explained how he felt about the same:

"Rubina tried to give me a friendship bracelet after I had just been evicted, and I was so annoyed, not with her, but just the audacity to be like, "Hey, I know you just got voted out. Here's a gift."

Big Brother contestant Quinn talks about his exit and Rubina's gesture

Throughout the show, viewers noticed that Quinn and Rubina didn't see eye to eye. The two would be up against one another especially due to Quinn and Tucker's feud because of the showmance between the latter and Rubina. She was one of the housemates who voted for Quinn to get eliminated. That's why Quinn was annoyed at "her audacity." Talking about the same in the EW interview, he mentioned:

"And then it's like, I read it, and it says "Jury Duty" on it, and I was like: "Are you dunking on me right now? Get out of my face, dude!"

Initially, the Big Brother contestant refused to take the bracelet but he realized Rubina's sentiments were genuine. Quinn saw the "disappointment" in her eyes then he decided to differentiate between his feelings and the gesture itself. At first, he was unsure whether Rubina's intention was "malicious" or "kind" but then he chose to accept the gift.

Quinn explained that he was still processing his emotions and struggling to accept that his journey on the show had ended. He further stated:

"Yeah, I was just so raw with emotions that when she's offering me something, I'm like, "Girl, get out of my face. I need to cry. This is a lot for me." Yeah, it's just a bracelet that said "Jury Duty" on it."

During the conversation, Quinn said that he felt Rubina was "dancing on my grave" after he was "hurt" by the unexpected eviction. Despite Rubina and Quinn targeting and planning against each other, Quinn felt he had an elder sister in the house. Quinn added that she was one of his "favorite people" in the house. He shared the reason behind changing his decision and taking the friendship bracelet:

“My true feelings washed over me after hearing her disappointment, so I took it. And it ended up being her making fun of me, so I’m the sucker at the end of the day.”
