The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episode 7 premiered on December 11. In the episode, all the singles went back to their original partner to reflect on the things they learned from their trial marriages.

Aria was in a trial marriage with Caleb, who had previously shared on the show that he saw their relationship as more of a friendly connection.

Scotty later discussed Caleb's statement with Aria in episode 7, expressing his doubts about his fellow cast mate's characterization of their relationship. He felt that Caleb hadn’t been entirely transparent about his true feelings.

"But the thing I'm grappling with is, someone like Caleb suggesting that it was just friendship is strange. I have to tell you, like, I don't buy this friendship bullsh*t. I don't buy it," he told Aria.

After spending weeks with their respective trial partners, Scotty and Aria reunited in The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episode 7, to share the new phase of the experience.

After reuniting as a couple the contestants sat down to reflect on the things they learned from their trial marriages that were missing in their original relationship.

Aria mentioned earlier in episode 7 that she was able to connect with her trial husband, Caleb because the two contestants had similar upbringings.

She later addressed the issue with Scotty, expressing that she felt a sense of disconnection from him. She explained her desire for him to understand better where she was coming from and her background.

"Something I was able to even analyze within myself on, like, my hesitancy with marriage with you was, I didn't want to be married to someone who never sees where they can be better and actually hear me out when I'm telling them they're hurting me," she added.

Aria further shared that before coming on the show she felt that Scotty was always trying to explain himself a lot. Sometimes she believed that her partner cared more about defending himself than trying to understand her.

Scotty responded by assuring her that he wasn’t the type of person to hide anything from her. He went on to share how the reality show experience felt incredibly "real" to him and admitted that he had felt a strong physical attraction to his trial wife, Zaina, from the very beginning.

"I think you saw my connection with Zaina very early. And I think there was a very intense physical attraction, and then we had, what I would consider, like a romantic connection. There was a connection that drew me to her beyond "I think she'd make a great wife," he told Aria.

Scotty further explained that there wasn't ever a point where he and Zaina approached their connection like they were friends. This reminded Scotty of Aria's relationship with her trial husband.

Earlier in the show, Caleb described his connection with Aria as purely friendly. However, Scotty later pointed out to Aria that it seemed "strange" for Caleb to view his bond with his trial wife in that way. Scotty expressed doubts about Caleb’s transparency, dismissing the "friendship" statement as "bullsh*t".

Aria tried to clarify that she never said that she described her relationship with Caleb as "friendship". However, Scotty wasn't finished with what he wanted to say and saw Aria's clarification as an interruption.

"You're not letting me finish. You don't let me share my feelings. And then you expect me to be vulnerable with you, that's not how vulnerability works. You have to allow someone to share what they're feeling. It is not easy to bring these kinds of conversations up. It does give me hesitations about you and the decision," he told Aria.

Aria reassured her partner that it was "okay" if her emotional connection with Caleb made him feel uncomfortable to the point where he no longer wanted to propose to her.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On couple ended their conversation filled with doubts about their future together.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episodes 1 to 8 are available on Netflix.
