Love is Blind Mexico Season 1 dropped four new episodes, 5—8, on Netflix on Thursday, August 8, 2024. The episodes began with the cast gathered in the villa, spending their last few days as part of the honeymoon period before they returned to Mexico City for the next stage of the social experiment.
While several couples started the episode on a positive note, the same could not be said for Saul and Leti. Saul opened up about Leti's doubts about their relationship to some of the other participants. He told Silvia he sometimes felt his love wasn't being "reciprocated" and described her behavior and discomfort with physical touch.
Gerardo expressed concern about Saul and spoke to him privately about his relationship. He asked him how he was and told him it didn't look like Saul was having a good time.
"Look, here's the thing. When you feel like it, you go for it. You try to make it work. You figure it out, dude, you find a way. But if you're looking for excuses not to — No matter how much I do, I can't deal with excuses, dude," Saul said.
Love is Blind Mexico stars Leti and Saul at odds in Episode 5
In Love is Blind Mexico Mexico Episode 5, Saul expressed his frustrations with Leti about the lack of physical affection on her part. As the male cast member discussed his relationship with other cast members, Leti told the cameras that she felt "very misunderstood" by her partner.
"And I feel like there was an expectation on his part for me to show affection in a certain way," she added.
That night, Leti didn't sleep in the same bed as Saul as she needed some "mental clarity." The following day, Saul chimed in about his fiancée sleeping in a different room and said it was "weird." However, he admitted it was a good time for them to reflect upon their feelings and emotions.
Later in the day, the Love is Blind Mexico Season 1 pair discussed the predicament they were in. Ahead of the conversation, Leti explained that she was surprised by her fiancé's behavior and was "certain things" she didn't like. As they sat down, she reminded Saul that he told her to be upfront about the things she didn't like.
"As you can see, things are tense between us. Especially last night, I was feeling overwhelmed, and alcohol makes me feel even more emotional. I apologize for last night," Saul said.
Leti told the Netflix star she couldn't take responsibility for how much alcohol he consumed and Saul told her it wasn't her responsibility. Leti told him she wasn't his mother and the latter retaliated by stating he didn't want her to be.
Leti told Saul that the drinking affected her and how their conversations progressed. She believed it was why he wasn't willing to listen to her point of view as eagerly as she was.
Saul said that while he had already acknowledged his behavior, he wanted to give and get affection. He added that being on Love is Blind Mexico taught him to "give unconditionally" and admitted that he was expecting in return from Leti.
"Every time you came over to me to show affection, it was because you were trying to prove a point. It felt like you wanted everyone to see that I was rejecting you," she explained.
Leti explained that she felt bad and "over-stimulated" and noted that the stress wasn't helping her think clearly. She added that she typically would run away from such situations since she couldn't deal with so many "stress factors at the same time."
She added that while Saul felt rejected, she felt "empty". Saul apologized for his actions and said that Leti had been kind and wonderful to him. He asked whether she wanted to give them a shot and the Love is Blind Mexico star stated that she didn't want to decide while she was "hurting." While the two returned to Mexico City together, the couple broke up in Episode 5.
Episodes 1—8 of Love is Blind Mexico are available to stream on Netflix.
