The latest reunion episode of Belle Collective, titled Reunited and It Feels…Good?, aired on Friday, December 27, 2024, on OWN. The episode delivered a particularly heated moment when Sophia "So Gucci" Williams addressed her strained relationship with Selena Johnson, stating,

"I don't care because I know that she's beneath me. We're not on the same level; we don't think the same."

This remark set the tone for the Belle Collective reunion, reigniting tensions between the two cast members. Episode 9 highlighted the ongoing drama between So Gucci and Selena, rooted in unresolved issues concerning their relationships with JJ, Selena’s ex-husband, and So Gucci’s current husband.

While addressing the feud, So Gucci reflected on the lack of introduction to Selena when she first entered JJ’s life, which she believes caused many of their problems. Meanwhile, Selena did not hold back, questioning the superiority complex.

Belle Collective: The fight between So Gucci and Selena

Host Carlos King steered the conversation toward the recurring conflict between So Gucci and Selena. He suggested that JJ’s role as a common factor might be a key reason the two women have not been able to establish a cordial relationship. According to So Gucci, much of the tension stems from the early days of her relationship with JJ. She revealed,

“I think when I met Jay, I should have been introduced to Selena, and I wasn’t. She should have cared about who was around her kids at that stage.”

So Gucci further explained that her focus on being “the perfect wife” to JJ may have unintentionally contributed to the emotional distance between her and her stepdaughters, whom she now prioritizes. Selena agreed with some of these points but maintained that So Gucci’s current behavior keeps their relationship fractured.

When Carlos asked how So Gucci felt about sharing the stage at Belle Collective with Selena, she responded dismissively, “I mean, I don’t care." Selena fired back, saying,

“You act like y’all got a private jet or something. There’s no comparison, baby. I’m a badass b***h.”

Belle Collective: What happened episode 9?

The reunion episode of Belle Collective offered a mix of emotional moments and dramatic segments. One of the storylines focused on So Gucci’s daughter, Dee, who is navigating mental health challenges. So Gucci shared that Dee felt overshadowed by her mother’s dedication to her marriage, stating,

“I didn’t realize that she needed me more now than she needed me then.”

Belle Collective reunion host Carlos King connected Dee’s situation to past experiences shared by Marie Hamilton-Abston, who advised So Gucci to listen and be present for her daughter. Marie emphasized the importance of breaking the stigma around mental health, saying,

“Just like we go to the doctor and check on our bodies, we have to check on our minds too. It’s okay not to be okay.”

So Gucci echoed this sentiment, sharing her commitment to fostering open conversations about mental health within her family. Another emotional arc came from Tambra Cherie, who opened up about her struggles with postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter, London Simone.

Tambra revealed that her experience of waking up in the ICU after giving birth left her feeling unsupported, as attention was primarily directed toward the baby. She reflected,

“No one really came to say, ‘What is Tamara doing?’ They’re always asking, ‘I want to see the baby.’”

Episode 10 of Belle Collective is set to air on January 3, 2024.
