Love is Blind UK aired episodes 10 and 11 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, during which the cast made the ultimate decision to either marry their partners or walk away. For some cast members, it was the latter as Freddie felt it wasn't the right time for him and Catherine to get married.
Catherine, who was upset and uncertain about their future together, recently sat down with the show's hosts for a conversation as part of the Love is Blind UK podcast and discussed her journey so far. Matt and Emma asked her to remember the first time in the pods.
"I cried a lot. If anyone's seen it, I cry a lot," Catherine joked.
She said that when the first batch of women returned from their first dates, some of them proclaimed they had found "the one." Recalling the moment, Catherine said she started crying.
"I felt awful"- Love is Blind UK star Catherine chimes in on rejecting Ollie, friendship with Sam, and more
When asked about rejection while in the pods, Catherine stated that from the beginning, she was sure about who she wanted to interact with.
"I was really lucky in the pods. My journey was quiet. I knew who I wanted, I knew who I was interested in. I was very clear. Obviously, I rejected someone and it was someone's birthday and I cried the morning because I felt awful," she said.
The Netflix star said that even though it felt bad, she knew it was the right decision. Matt asked her how she felt when she found out Ollie was talking to other cast members about the rejection. Catherine noted she felt "awful," and felt she needed to clear it up with him.
While chiming in on confronting Ollie in Love is Blind UK episode 5, Catherine said she wanted to have a conversation with him because it wasn't "right." She added that she didn't want the female cast members to think she was playing "games."
"Demi was like my best friend, so it was hurting me, it hurt a lot but what can you do?" Catherine added.
Emma asked Catherine about Sam and the cast member said Sam was "his own character." She added that she loved him and that Sam was "amazing." Catherine added that Sam was misunderstood by people and noted he got his "words mixed up" and got in trouble.
"His journey is his journey. What he did was what he did but I love him and I genuinely think when people get to know him, I think their opinion would change," Catherine stated.
The Love is Blind UK star was asked about Freddie. Catherine said it was "hard" to watch the show back because she had "so much love for that guy." She added that Freddie would always have a place in her heart.
Matt asked about potentially moving to Freddie's hometown as they had discussed on the show. The cast member said she was open to the idea since she knew her then-fiancé had to be near his brother, Jack.
"I wanted to support that because that was my main priority, so I'd do that for a partner if I love them, I would make that move," she said.
While recalling her and Freddie's wedding day, she said she wanted to show her love for the Love is Blind UK star and put their differences to a side. She added it was hard to watch the segment back. Catherine said she brought her family into the equation and it was "real" for them. She added her parents "loved Freddie so much" and it was equally hard for them to watch the season finale.
