The finale and reunion of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 aired on Netflix on December 18, 2024, wrapping up the season’s drama. The show challenges couples to test their readiness for marriage by experiencing trial marriages with other people.

Sandy, 27, joined with her boyfriend Nick, 38, after he gave her an ultimatum. During the trial phase, she was paired with J.R., who came on the show with his partner, Zaina.

Replying to a fan's question, “If you can redo The Ultimatum, what would you change, if any?” Sandy admitted she would approach things differently.

"The Ultimatum was quite literally the craziest, messiest thing I’ve ever been in, and I don’t think I knew what the f**k to do, I didn’t know what I was doing, clearly," she said.

Sandy and J.R. developed a connection and shared two kisses, which caused tension later in the season. During the reunion, Sandy expressed her regrets and also discussed the experience on her Instagram story.

Sandy shared her feelings about her time on the show and her trial marriage with J.R. She admitted that the experience was overwhelming and that she struggled to make the right decisions at the moment. She explained,

“Clearly. A lot of mistakes were made along the way.”

In her Instagram story, Sandy elaborated further when responding to a fan’s question about what she would change. Reflecting on her actions, she added,

“Those regrets really just are learning lessons, and in a way, I’m grateful for them because it just makes me a better human, more evolved and just aware of certain things that maybe I wasn’t aware of before.”

Sandy acknowledged that the show placed her in challenging situations, leaving her unsure of how to navigate the complexities of the experiment. While she expressed regret, she also emphasized the personal growth she experienced, admitting her mistakes to a broader journey of self-discovery.

“It wasn’t something I planned, but it’s part of what this process is about — exploring connections and seeing where they lead.”

Nick, Sandy’s original partner, shared his reaction to learning about her actions. He said,

"It was difficult to hear, but the experiment is designed to challenge us and reveal truths about our relationship.”

Nick did try proposing to Sandy in the finale. She said she loved him, but marriage was not something she was ready for.

"It doesn’t sound that way. No kidding!" he replied.

While Nick expressed disappointment, he acknowledged that the trial marriage phase helped clarify their future. At the reunion, Sandy and Nick addressed how the show impacted their relationship, with Sandy reiterating her regrets and Nick focusing on the need for honesty.
