Love is Blind season 7, which premiered on Netflix on October 2, 2024, introduced a new batch of American singles, trying to find love through a social experiment.
Tyler and Ashley were one of the couples who got engaged outside the pods. The pair joined their fellow Love Is Blind engaged couple on their honeymoon trip to Mexico. Their relationship met with an obstacle when Tyler revealed that he was a sperm donor and had three children as a result. Ashley was disappointed as Tyler took so long to share an important aspect of his life.
Meanwhile, Tyler posted some behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram on October 14 from his time on the show. A fan commented under his post stating that his saying that his three children don't know what he looked like, was a choice.
"People can say a lot of stuff but ultimately saying that you don’t think they children know what you look like was a choice and I’m very interested in that explanation."
Responding to the comment, the Love Is Blind star said:
"I don’t owe anyone in this world an explanation. But I’ll give you one lol the conversation was longer than what was shown and a lot of off camera conversations were had."
Love Is Blind couple Tyler and Ashley respond to the kid drama
The Love Is Blind couple had a great connection and Ashley felt their superpower was good communication. However, their happiness was short-lived when Tyler revealed to Ashley that he was the father of three children via sperm donation. He explained that his best friend and her wife were trying to have kids and he felt he should help them.
Tyler and Ashley have been quite vague about the drama surrounding this matter. Tyler has limited his Instagram comments section after the conversation about his past as a sperm donor was shown on the reality show at the end of episode 9, which was released on October 9.
In an interview with E! News, published on the day of the episode release, Tyler said that he has "no regrets" about the things he did on the reality show. He added that he would "not really change anything" about his experience in the pods.
Pointing to the discussions he had with his Love Is Blind finance about his past, he shared:
"There’s maybe a couple conversations that could’ve been had at a certain time, who knows? I can’t sit back and wish that I could change something... I’m living in the present."
Ashley has since limited the comments on her Instagram as well and remained silent on the issue. However, when a fan recently commented on one of her posts, claiming there was "proof" regarding Tyler’s past, the reality star stepped in to defend her fiancé.
The fan accused Tyler of being "foul" and a "whole daddy," claiming that he owed money to multiple women. Ashley responded:
“Do you know him personally to spread such slander about my cast mate? Regardless of the choice I make. I’ll do what’s best for me, the same way I’m sure you live your life. Food for thought before I go, beware of social media and the alleged unauthenticated ‘proof’ you speak of. I pray that you’ll attempt to leave with kindness moving forward.”
Episodes 1-11 of Love is Blind season 7 are available for streaming on Netflix.
