Love is Blind season 7 delved into each couple's struggles, family problems, and plans as they adjusted to each other's lives. This season, a fan-favorite couple Taylor and Garrett met in the pods and navigated their newly formed connection in real life. Despite their families being against their fast-paced decision to get engaged and then married, the two were sure of each other.

Throughout this season, Taylor and Garrett discussed the next step in their relationship. Garrett even decided to move to San Diego with her as per Taylor's wish. In an exclusive interview with Glamour on October 17, 2024, Taylor talked about her parent's concerns and how they eventually became "open" to the idea of her getting married to Garrett through a social experiment. She said:

"I felt guilty. I felt like I was taking that away from them and making them go through a really fast-paced thing that they didn’t necessarily sign up for."

Taylor opens up about her journey on Love is Blind season 7

During her interview, Taylor opened up about her decision to sign up for the experiment on Love is Blind. She shared how her parents were skeptical about the show but she could understand their point of view as well. Taylor stated that every parent wants to be involved in their daughter's decision about who she is marrying.

According to the 30-year-old clean energy policy consultant, her parents wanted to look out for her and ensure she was comfortable with the process. However, after they talked to Taylor about her experience on the show, they were "way more open to it." Taylor explained:

"Once they were able to talk to me and see that I’m okay, they were way more open to it. As a viewer, I remember watching parents that were absolutely not into it and being like, Come on. Now I’m like, Oh my God, no, this is nuts. I get it."

The Love is Blind contestant admitted that her getting engaged this early after knowing someone for a short amount of time was "very fast and surprising." As per Taylor, it was not just "out of character" for her but for Garrett as well. She elaborated:

"This was very fast and surprising and out of character in a lot of ways for both of us, but we had a lot of signs. I’m not a “woo-woo” person at all, but he had a tattoo of the Heisenberg principle, and I have my little hydrogen tattoo, and we connected on all these little things."

Apart from their genuine connection, mutual understanding, and instant bonding, the couple got signs from the universe. The Love is Blind contestant shared that with someone other than Garrett, the journey wouldn't have been this smooth and easy. She continued:

"It would’ve been hard to have gone that far with someone who was not Garrett, who is also a very logical person."

Love is Blind season 7 is streaming exclusively on Netflix, episodes 1 to 11 have already been released. The season 7 finale episode will be released on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, followed by the reunion episode which will be released on October 30, 2024, at 9 pm ET.
