Season 7 of the Netflix dating reality show Love Is Blind has been polarizing for some singles who joined the experiment looking to find the love of their lives, as few were able to find a meaningful connection. On October 16, 2024, the show released two new episodes, which saw Nick and Hannah break apart over varying differences in lifestyles.

The couple formed an emotional bond during their time in the pods, even when Leo wanted to steal Hannah away from Nick. The college football player shared details about his family and his desire to change his career, which impressed Hannah. The latter shared the struggles with her body image and felt closer than ever as they declared their love for each other in the pods of Love Is Blind.

Connecting on a level neither imagined, the Love Is Blind couple declared their love for one another and committed to moving forward together. In episode 11, all the couples were gathered to try on wedding dresses and tuxedos by co-hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Hannah decided to skip the event and called Nick over to have a conversation, after which she broke off the engagement.

Hannah declared that Nick didn't match her intellectually, creatively, financially, or in any other way. In an October 17, 2024, interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nick claimed that Hannah's comments were false as he also possessed two degrees from William & Mary. He said he kept quiet because nothing he could say would save the relationship.

"I am as intellectual as her. I'm not the type to say, 'I'm better than you at this, this, and that.' Clearly, I felt like I wasn't an equal in the relationship, and throughout the show I was understanding and respectful and mature and sincere and financially literate," Nick said.

Nick does not believe that the duck situation on Love Is Blind was that deep

The couple encountered a major hiccup on Love Is Blind during the honeymoon phase in Mexico when they rode an imitation duck on the beach. Nick even asked an old woman to ride it with him. Hannah got upset over the "flirtatious" encounter and wrote a list mentioning the various concerns in their relationship.

Hannah maintained that Nick was immature and disrespected her multiple times, which the latter called "ironic," given how she treated him during their time together. Nick claimed that he has always been respectful towards women because his parents had raised him that way.

"The duck situation wasn't really that deep, I was just having fun with it, but she felt it was disrespectful. I had a conversation with Katie at the Halloween party, and it was very mature and respectful, but she thought it was disrespectful. I think maybe she had some issues or insecurities," claimed Nick.

Nick also pointed out that Hannah disrespected their privacy when she discussed their s*x life with their Love Is Blind castmate, Ashley, even though he had asked her not to do so. He expressed that everyone is different and people tend to share these details with their friends, but he was uncomfortable with that and believed that the reaction would be different if he did the same.

Nick mentioned that Hannah calling him over and deciding to end their engagement didn't surprise him, but he felt it was unfortunate as he would have liked to go till the end.

The first 11 episodes of Love Is Blind season 7 are available on Netflix.
