The recently-concluded season 3 of The Traitors UK had garnered 10 million viewers, as reported by BBC. The show challenged participants to identify hidden Traitors while navigating strategies and eliminations. The penultimate episode introduced a development when Charlotte, a contestant viewed as loyal by her peers, was revealed as a Traitor.

With the finale airing on January 24, 2025, one key moment centered on politics student, Freddie Fraser, and his reaction to Charlotte's revelation. In an interview with BBC Radio Manchester on the same day as finale aired, Freddie talked about his journey and other recent developments on the show.

Freddie shared that when Charlotte asked him to join her as a Traitor, he was feeling conflicted about the choice.

“I felt sick when she asked me the question,” he explained.

Leanne and Jake emerged as the winners of The Traitors UK season 3, splitting the £94,600 prize after navigating the Round Table discussions in the finale.

Charlotte’s reveal and Freddie’s reaction in The Traitors UK

Charlotte’s role as a Traitor surprised both viewers and her fellow contestants in The Traitors UK. Known for her approach in the game, she avoided suspicion until the final stages. Freddie, who had played as a Faithful for most of the season, was unprepared when Charlotte revealed her role and gave him an ultimatum to either switch sides or face elimination.

Freddie shared that he felt compelled to make a decision.

“I had no choice because I didn’t want to leave the game,” he explained.

However, the switch caused inner conflict as it happened just a day before the finale.

“I didn’t want to be a Traitor in the slightest. I felt sick when she asked me the question,” he said, describing the impact of the situation.

Describing himself as inexperienced with deception, Freddie found it challenging to adapt to the new role and admitted feeling uncertain about his actions. Freddie expressed that, despite his brief time as a Traitor, his loyalty remained with the Faithfuls.

Reflections on elimination and future aspirations

Freddie got emotional after his elimination, feeling betrayed by Frankie, a close ally who voted him out during episode 11. Reflecting on the moment, Freddie said, he almost felt like his "own mum" voting for him. He explained:

“These people are going to think I’ve been lying to them and been manipulative all of the time, and obviously that wasn’t the case.”

Despite the challenges, Freddie expressed gratitude for the experience, which he described as opening new doors. The 20-year-old, who was a top-ranked athlete in his teenage years, shared his future plans. He said he'll explore opportunities in TV presenting and modeling while completing his university degree.

Freddie shared his hope that Faithfuls would win, as he had been part of their group for the majority of the game.

“I was a Faithful for longer,” he reiterated.

In a nutshell, the Traitors UK season 3 finale featured five contestants, including Traitor Charlotte. Frankie exposed Charlotte but lacked evidence, leading to her banishment. Doubts about Alexander led to his elimination, leaving Leanne, Jake, and Frankie. In the final vote, Frankie was banished, and Leanne and Jake declared the game over, sharing the £94,600 prize as the winners.
