The first season of Love is Blind UK officially wrapped up with its finale episode airing on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. The drama from the show continued even on its reunion episode that aired on Monday, August 26, 2024. Fans who watched the show knew about the situation between Sam and Nicole, who got engaged before ending things.
Nicole then chose to get engaged to Benaiah, eventually marrying him. However, things became tense after Sam made some disrespectful comments about Nicole. While he later apologized to Nicole for his comments and how he handled the situation, Bobby didn't believe that his apology was genuine.
Bobby and Jasmine, who got married in the finale, appeared on the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, which was released on YouTube on August 29, 2024. The Love is Blind UK couple shared their overall experience on the show with Will and highlighted some of the drama that took place in the reunion. They also explained what it felt like to watch the show a year after it was done filming and what went on in their minds when they met the other cast members during the reunion.
As Bobby spoke about Sam and his apology to Nicole, the former said that he didn't think his co-star's sentiments were genuine. He said that during the reunion, he wasn't "fully sold on the fact" that Sam had taken accountability and changed.
"Like I said at that time, you know, in the reunion I wasn't fully sold on the fact that he had sort of took accountability and changed. But hopefully, it has been a learning curve for him and he can come out of it," Bobby said.
It is worth noting that Jasmine was previously entangled in a love triangle between Sam and Bobby. However, she claimed that her "women's intuition" kicked in and she chose Bobby over Sam as her partner.
Bobby and Jasmine share what happened at the Love is Blind UK reunion
During the interview with the host of the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, Love is Blind UK's Jasmine and Bobby said that she had no bad blood with Sam. Adding that she was thankful for the things between them ending soon, she explained that Sam wasn't a bad guy. However, she noted that some of his actions and comments made others uncomfortable, as she wished him "good luck."
"Good luck for him, nothing bad to say, no bad blood. But I was just very thankful ion that moment in time, you know, I listened to my women's intuition and it was right," Jasmine said.
Her husband, Bobby, meanwhile, reflected on Sam's apology to Nicole. During the reunion, Sam admitted that he lied to Benaiah that Nicole wanted to sleep with him. As he was explaining why he did so, Demi interrupted him and asked him to apologize to his former partner for his "hurtful" sentiments.
Looking back at that moment, Bobby claimed that he wasn't convinced that Sam took accountability for his actions. However, he did add that Sam might have changed because of this experience. He said that he hoped that being on Love is Blind UK was a "learning curve" for Sam.
Bobby also noted that he wasn't surprised by what happened between Nicole and Sam. He then referred to Jasmine being shocked over the situation and said that he had had an "intuition" about his Love is Blind UK co-star just like his own wife did. He went on to say that while his intuition wasn't as strong as Jasmine's, he wasn't too shocked when it watched the episodes back.
"I don't think I was so shocked to watch it all back but of course, you don't see everything, you don't know what people are saying in their dates, you don't really know what's going on behind the scenes. Tough watch but in the end, the right man won," Bobby said.
To see Bobby and Jamsine's journey on the show, fans can stream Love is Blind UK exclusively on Netflix. They can also follow the cast members on Instagram to stay updated with their new projects and what they are up to.
