Joe's confession and its impact in Below Deck Mediterranean
In episode 12 of Below Deck Mediterranean, Joe talked to Ellie about how he didn't want to be in a serious relationship. Joe told Ellie that he just wanted to have fun and keep things casual during their conversation, which made her feel hurt and confused.
On the outside, Ellie said that she was fine with things being casual, but she expressed her disappointment during a confessional. She mentioned:
"You liked me enough to make out with me, like, a few days ago. But now you don't like me enough to get to know me as a person and talk to me? I can understand why some spiders eat their mate after mating."
Ellie felt rejected and confused when Joe suddenly changed his mind about her since he had been interested in her before. The situation came up again during a dinner date, where Ellie and Joe sat beside each other, and he repeated that he was feeling overwhelmed and not ready for a committed relationship.
Bri gets frustrated as she sees Joe's bonding with Ellie during a dinner date in Below Deck Mediterranean
During the dinner date, Joe tried to have a conversation with Ellie, asking her if she was into children. The duo opened up about personal things, and Ellie talked about how much she wanted to have kids. She also shared that she missed the sibling's bond as she was the only child. She said that she wanted her future children to feel that connection.
Joe's other romantic interest, Bri, was watching them bond when she became upset and left the place. In a confessional, she said:
"I am like, really confused by Joe. Like if he wants Ellie, take Ellie and stop teasing me."
Bri had also been trying to win Joe's affection, however, things turned bad when they were together. She felt more left out and down as she watched Joe and Ellie connect on such a deep level. From her comments, it seemed that she was having a hard time figuring out how to deal with her feelings on the show.
Bri left the scene and said to her friend that it was very awkward for her to see them on a date together.
