Sister Wives season 19, episode 17, titled Love is Patient, Love is Kind, was released on TLC on January 12, 2025. The episode featured Christine and David's wedding, which took place in 2023. Christine's family along with Janelle and her children were present at the wedding but Kody and Robyn were absent since they were not invited. Instead, they spent the day clearing the woods in front of their house.
During a confessional, Kody shared his thoughts on Christine marrying David, expressing that he was "really excited" for his ex-wife. He also admitted that he felt that the couple was moving a little too quickly, but emphasized that he was genuinely happy for them.
"I'm really excited for her. I've only met David once, and everything that I can gather is it's moved pretty fast, but sometimes you just know... I hope they're happy. And I hope someday the time comes where we're just comfortable being around each other," he said in his confessional.
Sister Wives star Kody Brown compares his polygamous and monogamous life
While Christine and David celebrated their wedding in the latest episode of Sister Wives, Kody, and Robyn were clearing trees near their house to improve their view of the mountain.
In a confessional, Kody said that being in a monogamous relationship with Robyn, she had told him she would also have a say in setting the rules for their relationship.
"So there's a new rule that Robyn made and because I'm a monogamist, my wife gets to make rules, right?. So she's like, 'Don't drop a tree until you've removed the last tree you dropped'," he shared.
The Sister Wives star later shared his thoughts on Christine and David's marriage and expressed that he was happy for the couple.
Kody noted that his ex-wife left their marriage with a purpose as she "wanted to find her soul mate." He said that it was weird because she was his ex-wife but that it was no longer any of his business and that "it's more like kudos."
After going through three divorces, Kody added that he felt "a lot of water under the bridge" and that his current situation with his ex-wives wasn't that bad. However, he explained that his monogamous life was tough in comparison to his polygamist life which he believed was "mostly good."
The Sister Wives star is currently only married to Robyn and said that he would direct all his focus on his future with his only wife and their kids. He said that his current life with Robyn and their children was like living in a "real different world" which he felt was pleasant, beautiful, and small.
However, Kody admitted that he was still adjusting, as he had grown accustomed to receiving a lot of attention during his polygamist lifestyle. He noted that he needs "a lot of attention" and that he wasn't getting it after his three divorces. Kody explained that while the door will always be open for his children, he will not "cut off Robyn to have a relationship with [my] children."
"But my children will always be my children and the door will always be open to them. They've got to come through that door. I'm going to be holding a hand out for that, but I'm going to be holding this hand that's next to me, and I won't let go of that hand," he concluded.
