I am Ilary, the Netflix documentary highlights the life of a former model, former child actress, and Ilatian television host Ilary Blasi. In this series Ilary shares her life story and how her divorce impacted her. After Ilary and football player Francesco Totti went their separate ways, they were still under the spotlight similar to how they were throughout their relationship's ups and downs.

What happened on I am Ilary episode 2?
On I am Ilary episode 2, Ilary Blasi shared that she was under the spotlight and the media outlets were curious to know the status of her dating life. After four months of her separation from Francesco, she and Bastian started a new relationship and would spend time together outside of Italy. However, Blasi and Bastian soon realized they were being "followed" by the paparazzi.
As Ilary mentioned in the premiere episode, Bastian was unaware of Blasi's background and fame. He wasn't a soccer fan either which is why he didn't find out about Ilary. The I am Ilary star discussed Bastian wasn't used to this kind of media attention and hence they had to navigate this situation together, she said:
"He really didn't know anything about me. He's not a soccer fan so he's found things out bit by bit. And then obviously, he gradually became aware of the media attention and the paparazzi. He started to catch on a little."
During his confession interview, Bastian explained his point of view that it was something "completely new" for him.
"I couldn't imagine something completely new for me to stay in the focus of the media."
The I am Ilary star met her current partner on her way back from a New York trip. A palm reader had predicted she would meet someone special in her life on that trip.
Ilary narrated that Bastian had doubts about their relationship if there were "legitimate feelings" involved. Due to the media attention, he questioned if Ilary was in a relationship just to prove she was happy in her new life. However, the couple resolved this problem and decided to start fresh as Bastian said he "didn't care" about Ilary's past. Ilary further elaborated:
"He got scared about it thinking there weren't any legitimate feelings there. But at one point he said, you know what, I don't care about your past. Let's start fresh."
