"I just wanna kiss you" — Too Hot to Handle star Charlie shows an interest in Katherine

Too Hot to Handle season 6 released episodes 5-7 on Friday, July 26, 2024. The popular competition series challenged cast members to resist temptations and form emotional connections.

Once host Lana implemented strict rules to ensure everyone in her retreat adhered to the guidelines, the contestants found themselves in hot water. In episode 5, despite being paired with other people, Charlie and Katherine sparked a connection with each other. During a self-reflective workshop, Charlie failed to restrain his emotions and said:

"I just wanna kiss you [Katherine]."

The duo shared their deepest feelings and realized they could forge a connection stronger than the others. Although they felt guilty for generating feelings for someone other than their partners, they decided not to ignore their emotions.

Too Hot to Handle stars Charlie and Katherine bonded during a workshop in episode 5

Charlie, who was paired with Lucy, was unhappy in his current relationship. He felt that his partner struggled to open up and refrained from putting in an effort to make their connection evolve. At the same time, Katherine, who was coupled up with Louis, felt dissatisfied with her Too Hot to Handle partner.

She admitted their relationship lacked the emotional intimacy she desired. As a result, she found herself wanting to explore other options.

Lana arranged a workshop, called "Reflecting the Real You," where each contestant was paired with someone they were not romantically connected with. It aimed to help the participants become honest about their feelings and "build a meaningful relationship" in the process.

Katherine made an emotional confession about her inhibitions.

"I feel like I have to come across as, like, this strong woman who has all her sh*t together. I just see, like, this person that all she wants is, like, to be loved for who she is," said Katherine.

While talking to the cameras, Charlie stated that hearing Katherine speak impressed him greatly. How Katherine showcased her "vulnerable" side and talked about her feelings made Charlie realize he was attracted to her.

When it was Charlie's turn to share his thoughts about himself, he said that every day, he tries to make himself into "someone I can be proud of."

"I just try my best every day to make myself into someone I can be proud of. That means I'll put a lot of pressure on myself so sometimes I can come across as, like, really outgoing, funny, charismatic, but, you know, sometimes I'm like a little boy," the cast member said.

Katherine was pleasantly surprised to witness a different side to Charlie. She complimented his courage and called him a "good person." In the next phase of the workshop, the Too Hot to Handle cast members stared into each other's eyes to discover their true identities.

Katherine admitted she started to "feel some type of way," staring into Charlie's eyes. Meanwhile, Charlie revealed it was "intense" and could not fathom "how romantic" their connection could be. At that moment, the Too Hot to Handle star confessed he wanted to kiss Katherine, shocking the latter.

"Charlie...stop it, stop it, stop it," said Katherine.

Previously, Charlie chose to pair with Lucy over Katherine, upsetting the latter. However, he told Katherine during the workshop that he wanted to rekindle their connection.

The Too Hot to Handle contestant knew she had to talk to Charlie to see if he genuinely meant what he said because "it could change everything." Although Charlie felt that his feelings were reciprocated, he knew he needed verbal confirmation from Katherine.

During a private conversation, Charlie opened up to Katherine and confirmed his feelings for her.

"After the workshop today, I saw a more vulnerable side to you. It was really attractive. And I feel like that's something that I can't just ignore," confessed Charlie.

He added that her "vivacious" personality attracted him to her. Katherine agreed that there was some chemistry between them. She wanted to explore her connection with Charlie since he was "more in touch" with his emotional side.

She wanted someone to like her for her personality, and she felt Charlie could be that person.

"I wanna get to know you [Charlie] more," admitted Katherine.

The Too Hot to Handle duo decided to keep their conversation a secret until they talked to their partners, Lucy and Louis, about it.
