"I was kind of in shock" — Love is Blind: Argentina star Jose Luis opens up about living together with Florencia

Love is Blind: Argentina released episode 11, The Reunion, on Thursday, November 28, 2024. Hosts Wanda and Dario reunited with the cast members to find out where they stood after the cameras stopped rolling. They discovered that only two out of the three couples that got married sustained their relationship after the show. One of those two pairs was Jose Luis and Florencia.

Although Jose Luis and Florencia managed to keep their relationship alive, the couple revealed that getting to where they were was difficult. Jose Luis expressed that adapting to living with another person took him much time. The Love is Blind: Argentina star confessed that Florencia's arrival disrupted his bachelor lifestyle — something he was accustomed to.

"So she came to Buenos Aires, and basically, what happened was that I was kind of in shock because she brought four cats and I... It was a shock because I was allergic," Jose Luis explained.

He acknowledged that his difficulty adjusting caused a disconnect between him and Florencia. However, Florencia did not give up on their marriage, and did her best to make Jose Luis feel at ease. The Love is Blind: Argentina star credited Florencia for her resolve and thanked her for keeping their relationship alive.

"I sold everything" — Love is Blind: Argentina star Florencia sheds light on her life after marriage

When Wanda and Dario inquired Florencia about her relationship status with Jose Luis, she revealed she was still married to him. However, the journey after leaving the social experiment had its own challenges.

Since Jose Luis lived in Buenos Aires and Florencia resided in Cordoba, living together was not an option for the Love is Blind: Argentina couple. However, Florencia refused to spend her married life separated from each other. As a result, she made a few life-changing decisions so she could live together with Jose Luis.

"He flew back and I sold everything, I broke my lease, packed two suitcases and got to his place with all four cats to start a family together," Florencia said.

The Love is Blind: Argentina star added that she quit her job to move to Buenos Aires. When Dario praised her commitment, Florencia explained this was one of the reasons why she sought reassurance from Jose Luis throughout the experiment. She wanted to be sure of his commitment to her because she was willing to reconstruct her life to accommodate him.

Despite her decisions, Florencia did not receive the welcome she hoped she would after arriving at Jose Luis' door.

"While we did spend a month apart, while I was getting settled and sort of letting go of my old life. We talked every day. When I got here, I think it was hard for him to get used to having a wife," Florencia explained.

The Love is Blind: Argentina star revealed that Jose Luis had expressed concern about their co-living status in the first week of living together. Florencia said he felt "confused" and was unsure if they were doing the right thing.

Jose Luis echoed Florencia's statements and said that he struggled to keep up with the pace of things. Since he was used to having his own space and being a bachelor, having someone live with him daily was too much to grasp. Jose Luis confessed that after three days of living together, he told Florencia that he felt "smothered" and needed time off.

"I took some days to reflect on it and then it hit me," he added.

The Love is Blind: Argentina star credited Florencia for being a "trooper" and respecting his feelings. He thanked her for holding onto him and consolidating their trust.

Later, Jose Luis surprised her by proposing to her again at the reunion. He claimed it was to vindicate their relationship and mark a fresh start to their marriage. The couple exchanged wedding bands with their names engraved on them.
