Teresa Giudice, known for her role in The Real Housewives of New Jersey and her recent appearance on House of Villains Season 2, reflects on her unexpected elimination from the reality show competition. In an exclusive interview with Parade on December 5, Giudice discussed her exit from the show, noting,

“If I had to leave, I like the way I left.”

Despite the abrupt nature of her elimination, Giudice expressed no regrets, emphasizing her authenticity throughout the game. Her departure came after a tense moment where the contestants were asked to rank each other based on villainy, a task that led to her being voted off.

The shocking elimination

In House of Villains, all reality TV personalities, are tasked with backstabbing and banishing their way to a $200,000 prize. Episode 9 introduced an unexpected twist: contestants ranked each other from most to least villainous, and the least villainous player was eliminated.

Giudice, who had not yet been named Supervillain of the Week, was deemed to have fallen short of the villainous expectations, leading to her exit. Reflecting on her elimination, Giudice mentioned,

“It was a good way to leave. I didn't want to start fighting with people. I wasn't going to start fighting with Jessie.”

Despite the surprise, Giudice was not disappointed by the outcome. Her decision to not escalate confrontations with fellow contestants, such as Jessie Godderz, was central to her strategy throughout the competition. She also explained that being true to herself was the key to her approach, saying,

"I was true to myself — it's the only way I know how to be. I'm Teresa, I'm a reality star, I really am authentic. What you see is what you get."

Giudice's relationships on the show

While in the House of Villains mansion, Giudice quickly formed bonds with several castmates. Among them was Richard Hatch, the winner of Survivor, with whom she developed a close friendship. In her interview with Parade, Giudice shared,

“Me and him were always up early in the morning together so we would always talk... He knew my whole story and he loved me, so I loved how he understood me.”

She also mentioned getting along with other House of Villains contestants like Camilla Poindexter, Kandy Muse, and Safaree Samuels, highlighting the positive connections she made during her time in the game.

However, not all relationships were smooth. Giudice had a notable falling out with Tiffany "New York" Pollard, resulting in a blow-up between the two. Reflecting on this, Giudice stated that Pollard was attempting to provoke her but she did not fall for the bait.

“I knew what she was doing,” Giudice explained.
“To get a reaction out of me, if we have a close friendship and someone tries to hurt me and I see that, then I’m very passionate.” she added.

Despite this, the two eventually made amends, with Pollard apologizing to Giudice and her husband, Luis Ruelas, at the premiere party.

Support from home

Throughout the competition in the House of Villains, Giudice received support from her husband, Luis Ruelas, who sent her flowers and love letters during filming. Giudice described her husband’s gestures as heartwarming, noting that he missed her while she was away, saying,

"He really missed me. He had sent me the flowers because he was missing me."

She also mentioned a playful moment when Kandy Muse returned the crochet doll and roses Giudice had received, ensuring they were not destroyed, unlike some of the other contestants' items. Giudice appreciated the gesture, finding it to be a fitting send-off.

“At least my doll wasn’t thrown like everyone else’s or eaten by the dogs. I loved the way Kandy Muse sent me off,” she said.
