Love is Blind Mexico wrapped up its first-ever season on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and saw two happy endings. While the finale saw four couples walk down the aisle, only two stayed together. Chema and Silvia didn't get married, they decided to stay together while Karen and Fernando walked away from the show as a married couple.

As Fernando and Karen exchanged vows, the male cast member ensured he made someone else feel equally important. In his speech, he addressed Karen's daughter, Emily, and said she was the most important person there.

"I'll give you everything I have in my relationship with your mom. I'll always protect you both and put you first," Fernando said.

Karen and Fernando's Love is Blind Mexico wedding vows explored

Love is Blind Mexico season 1 couple, Karen and Fernando was the only one who tied the knot in the season finale. Karen's mother walked her down the aisle and Fernando told the cameras that the moment he saw his fiancée in her wedding dress, his heart "started to beat faster."

"It's a super intense feeling," he added.

Karen's mother told him that she was giving him her treasure and asked the Love is Blind Mexico couple to take care of each other. The officiator told them they took part in the social experiment to find "true love." She added that the two opened up their hearts without seeing each other.

Recalling their journey on the show, she said they had their ups and downs but "love came out on top." She stated it was time to discover if "true love" was blind. She asked Karen if she was ready to take Fernando as her husband.

In her speech, the Love is Blind Mexico female cast member asked how she was about to marry someone she met "a month and a half ago." Karen stated it felt weird that she "blindly fell in love" and she couldn't wait to become Fernando's wife.

"I do," Karen said.

The officiator asked Fernando if he was ready to take Karen as his "lawfully wedded wife" and the Love is Blind Mexico read out his vows. He recalled feeling her "essence" the first time he heard her voice in the pods. The Netflix star added that it "brought" him peace and didn't want to just see if they would work together.

Fernando added that he was there to make it work. He also said, "I do." Karen told him that she knew they would "conquer" the world together and build the future they dreamed about. She promised to love, respect, and cherish him and told him she would cook him "chicken breast every single day."

The Love is Blind Mexico star Fernando told her that when he fell in love with her, he fell in love with "all" of her, which included her daughter, Emily. Hearing her name, Emily started crying and Fernando told her she was a "wonderful girl."

He promised to give her everything he had, to protect her, and put her before everything in life. He told her he had a gift for her and she joined the couple at the aisle. Fernando gifted her a bracelet, much like the one she gave him when she first met him. He thanked her for everything and told him he would "take care" of her.

"I want her to see that I love her mom, which means I love her too. I'm just here to give love," Fernando said in a confessional.

The two exchanged rings and officially became husband and wife. Fans can watch their journey on Love is Blind Mexico, episodes of which are available to stream on Netflix.
