90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 7 released Part 1 of the Tell All on Sunday, January 12, 2025. It showcased the cast reuniting to address unresolved issues and reflect on interpersonal dynamics. Among them was Matilda, battling negative speculation about her relationship with Niles. She explained her intentions, saying she married him for his personality, not his money.
During the Tell All, co-star Brian questioned Matilda's intentions, asking her if she married Niles for a chance to relocate to the US. Caught off guard and offended, Matilda dismissed Brian's question by saying she was uninterested in his money or home country.
"I love him for him," Matilda said.
When Brian asked the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star if she would have married Niles had he been from Peru instead of the States, she answered in the affirmative. Matilda reiterated that she loved and married Niles for who he was. She added that if money were her main motive behind marriage, she would have tied the knot with any rich Ghanaian man.
"You are the man I want" — 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days' Matilda comments on her relationship with Niles
When the Tell All's host, Shaun Robinson asked Niles why he hadn't brought Matilda to the States yet, he explained that the visa process didn't "work that quickly." He confessed that several hurdles prevented him from fulfilling his promise of bringing Matilda to the US within five months of their marriage.
Although it was not what he had planned, he could not do anything since the visa process was beyond his control. He added that it was difficult, particularly for people who did not have "thousands of dollars lying around."
"It takes forever," Loren said in support of Niles.
Niles revealed he was still waiting for the authorities to schedule a date for Matilda's spousal visa interview. When Shaun asked if Niles had paid all the fees required for the visa to get processed, he said some were still pending. However, he revealed that he had paid for his side, prompting co-star Vanja to ask who was responsible for Matilda's.
Upon hearing that, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days male cast member confessed that the topic was still under discussion. Niles mentioned that he needed another $4000 to complete the payment for the visa application.
When the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days host asked Niles if he had considered contacting Mr. Arc for financial assistance, he said:
"After we're done here, I need to make a call."
Vanja wondered if Niles' parents would contribute and help him start his martial life. Niles dismissed the option, revealing that his parents were still against his marriage on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The cast listened in disbelief when he mentioned that his parents considered Matilda a "scammer."
Matilda added to the conversation, saying she would show his parents she was "real" once she came to the US. Upon hearing that, Brian asked her if she would still love Niles if he were from a different country. Matilda not only dismissed Brian's question but also said:
"If he likes, he can come and stay in Ghana. I'll be very happy."
She added that there were wealthy men in Ghana and if chasing money was her primary goal, she would have married one of them instead of pursuing a relationship with Niles.
However, Brian remained unconvinced, saying "men with money" did not date or marry just anyone. He believed Matilda was after the "U.S.A. life," not the money, which was why she was with Niles. Despite the speculation, Matilda stood her ground and stated:
"You [Niles] are the man I want, and that's all."
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days airs every Sunday at 8 pm ET only on TLC.
