The December 15, 2024, episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, titled Secrets of the Love Lagoon, brought intriguing developments in Gizelle Bryant’s personal life. The episode featured Karen Huger’s Love Lagoon-themed party, where Gizelle arrived with Nnamnse, the man she had chosen during a speed dating event earlier in the season.

This appearance came after their first date, which involved salsa dancing and drinks, showcasing a budding connection. During her confessional, Gizelle reflected on their date, saying,

"I'm actually enjoying myself, which is really all that needs to happen on a first date."

Meanwhile, Karen Huger voiced skepticism about Nnamnse, suggesting he might not be a perfect fit for Gizelle. Following the episode, Gizelle shared updates about her dating life on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, fueling speculation about whether Nnamnse remains in the picture.

With Gizelle hinting that someone from her speed dating pool had returned, fans are left eager to learn more about how her relationship journey will unfold in upcoming episodes of The Real Housewives of Potomac.

Gizelle and Nnamnse's connection in The Real Housewives of Potomac

Gizelle Bryant met Nnamnse during a speed dating session in episode 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac. He stood out as her top choice, impressing her with his personality and background. Nnamnse revealed he had roots in Washington, D.C., but had spent years in Miami for education and work, before returning to his hometown.

The two explored their connection further, leading to their first date at Hoja Taqueria in Washington, D.C. On their date, Nnamnse introduced Gizelle to salsa dancing, sharing that he had learned the skill while living in Miami. Although Gizelle admitted she wasn’t confident in her dancing abilities, she enjoyed the experience.

During a rapid-fire question session, Nnamnse revealed some details about himself, such as his admiration for Michael Jordan and Biggie Smalls. Gizelle, reflecting on the date, shared she was enjoying herself, and that's how it should be on a first date.

At the Love Lagoon-themed party hosted by Karen Huger, Gizelle brought Nnamnse as her date. The event marked their first public appearance together among the Housewives, where they were seen interacting with other cast members.

Karen Huger’s skepticism about Gizelle’s new relationship in The Real Housewives of Potomac

While Gizelle seemed optimistic about her time with Nnamnse, Karen Huger offered a contrasting perspective. In her confessional during the Love Lagoon event, after observing the pair interact, Karen remarked:

"Nnamnse, I like him. I just think he won’t last a moment with Gizelle; he’s too nice."

Karen said her skepticism is because of her perception of Gizelle’s relationship preferences. During the event, Gizelle introduced Nnamnse to the group, explaining that she brought him as her date to see how he fit in with the group dynamics.

While the two shared lighthearted moments, including playful conversations, Karen remained unconvinced that Nnamnse possessed the qualities Gizelle typically seeks in a partner. Gizelle addressed Karen’s remarks during her confessional, stating that she enjoyed getting to know Nnamnse.

"Look, I just met Nnamnse, don’t really know him that well, but I told Karen that if I did meet a man that I was going to see again, that I would bring him to the love lagoon," said Gizelle.

As the season progresses, viewers will see whether Karen’s doubts are justified or if Nnamnse will prove to be a good match for Gizelle.
