Outlast season 2 premiered on Netflix on September 4, 2024. Sixteen competitors, divided into teams, were released into the cold Alaskan wilderness, competing against one another in a game of survival. With a million dollars at stake, each contestant strategized and forged alliances to advance in the competition.

Joey started his journey as a member of the Charlie camp with Julio, Brianna, and Meghan. However, it did not take much time before his teammates succumbed to the harsh living conditions. While Brianna changed camps and moved to Bravo mid-season, Julio and Meghan quit, unable to survive the dire circumstances of Alaska in episode 3.

As the sole survivor from Team Charlie, Joey had to shift camps within 24 hours to avoid getting eliminated. He went to Camp Delta, but as the "new guy," he often clashed with the others.

In episode 6, the Outlast cast member disapproved of Delta's "mind our own" mentality and suggested they spy on Bravo to analyze their situation. However, his proposal was not welcomed.

"The strategy Delta has is to take care of ourselves, take care of our own. And so we're all conserving our calories and just waiting for what's next. But I don't know if I necessarily agree with that. So, I'm going to be proactive and I'm just gonna see what's on the game board," Joey said.

Eventually, the information he picked on Bravo turned out to be beneficial for Camp Delta, helping them secure a crucial object later in the episode.

On day 22 of the challenge, Joey wondered if Bravo had "already scavenged" everything from Alpha. While the others seemed unbothered by what their competitors were up to, Joey was visibly anxious. He revealed he wanted to "scout" and "recon" to see their condition.

He knew the information could give them an upper hand in the game, but his teammates seemed to differ. They insisted on sitting idle and conserving their energy.

"Mind the business that minds us," Joseph said.

During his confessional, Joey mentioned he was curious about Bravo's morale, strength, and current state. He believed one had to "play the game" and not avoid it to win the show. However, he admitted he was on his own since "the entire Delta squad" was against him. As the "new guy," he joined a team where he was a "beggar" and not a chooser. Meanwhile, Bravo began constructing a raft.

In the Delta camp, Joey decided to take matters into his own hands, frustrated by his teammates' banter. The Outlast cast member started walking the area to explore the opportunities ahead and saw Team Bravo with buoys. He immediately relayed the news to his teammates, hoping to spark something within them.

However, he received a rather dull response. Both Brendon and Eric stated they were not worried about Bravo. Joseph said he understood Joey's concerns but emphasized that they were good without having to focus on anyone else.

"I'm just so competitive, and I need to know that I'm ahead. And so I am concerned that Bravo may be up to something. So, I'm just trying to prepare us," Joey said.

The Outlast star explained he intended to have "a team prepared for anything and everything." Consequently, he was displeased to realize that Team Delta wanted to "hunker down" and "go for the long haul."

The following morning, the Outlast star saw Team Bravo with a raft. He approached his teammates and poked them to make a one. After much convincing, they agreed to execute the plan.

"I realize that my team's kind of fed up with me talking about Bravo. But I'm thinking we're gonna move into something that might require action, movement on a raft or something like that," Joey noted.

Joseph took the lead and constructed the raft. Even though he faced some resistance from Eric, he pulled it off with the help of the other teammates. Soon, production airdropped two boats in the river. Joey was pleased since they could use the raft to get to it. Team Delta retrieved the package, while Team Bravo failed to complete the mission.

Outlast season 2 will release episodes 7 and 8 on Netflix on September 11, 2024.
