Southern Hospitality season 3 returned with more drama in episode 2, titled Cash or Store Credit, which aired on January 9. The episode explored various conflicts, including Emmy’s rocky relationship with her boyfriend, Will, whose comments about her became a focal point. Molly Moore reacted strongly upon hearing about Will’s remarks, calling his behavior unacceptable.

“I’m like, disgusted,” Molly said.

Her comment came during a candid conversation with Siobhan, who detailed how Will had publicly insulted Emmy, referring to her as “boring” and “anorexic.”

In addition to the drama involving Emmy, the Southern Hospitality episode featured personal revelations from cast members like Austin and Michols, heated discussions about workplace dynamics, and Emmy’s dramatic meltdown.

Molly and Siobhan's conversation in Southern Hospitality

A discussion between Molly Moore and Siobhan in Southern Hospitality season 3, episode 2, revealed troubling remarks made by Emmy’s boyfriend, Will. The conversation began with Molly casually asking Siobhan, “Have you ever been stood up?”

Siobhan shared her own experience, explaining how a man she was supposed to meet canceled at the last minute to watch The Avengers instead. Molly called the behavior “foul” before shifting focus to Emmy’s struggles. Siobhan hinted at deeper issues, saying,

“Something is deeply going on with her. I don’t know if it’s work stress or her relationship with Will.”

Molly, already unimpressed with Will, chimed in,

“I’m not a fan of Will. I don’t like the way he talks about people. He’s annoying.”

Siobhan then revealed the shocking comments she had overheard at the bar. According to her, Will called Emmy “boring,” “anorexic,” and “no fun.” Molly was visibly disgusted, saying,

“I don’t care if my boyfriend is on heroin. A man should never be talking about a woman’s body. Ever.”

Siobhan expressed doubts about Emmy being aware of Will’s remarks, suggesting that Emmy would likely deny he ever said such things. Despite her differences with Emmy, Molly confessed,

“Even someone I hated I would never talk about, much less someone you claim that you love. That’s crazy.”

In the end, both women agreed that Emmy deserved better.

Full recap of Southern Hospitality season 3, episode 2

The second episode of Southern Hospitality season 3, titled Cash or Store Credit, began with the cast recovering from Michols’ eventful birthday party, where he made waves by crying, getting drunk, and licking cake off Preston’s face.

Meanwhile, unresolved tensions between Joe and TJ continued to create friction within the group. Joe remained upset with TJ over rumors suggesting that TJ had previously told people Joe was gay.

Michols and TJ addressed their differences during a pedicure outing. Michols opened up about his struggles with dating as a gay person of color in Charleston and the challenges of overcoming rejection, which stemmed from his mother's lack of support. While Michols wanted to keep their relationship platonic, TJ was disappointed, given his romantic interest in him.

Elsewhere, Emmy’s relationship with Will was scrutinized. During the episode, she had a dramatic meltdown after Siobhan confronted her about allegedly profiting from VIP store credit discounts to purchase dresses.

Emmy reacted by hyperventilating, crying, and running around the venue, shouting about being a good person. Will offered little support during this incident, remaining on his phone and delegating to Joe to comfort her instead.

Brad added to the tension in Southern Hospitality by bringing up rumors about Emmy allegedly flirting with NFL players at Republic, further straining her relationship with Will. Molly and Siobhan later reflected on Emmy’s situation, with Molly condemning Will’s comments as disrespectful and inappropriate, particularly for someone in a relationship.

Meanwhile, Austin shared details about his unexpected journey into hospitality. After being diagnosed with general epilepsy and unable to deploy to Afghanistan during his time in the Army, he transitioned into the hospitality industry. Austin continued to navigate his role as a VIP server under Brad’s guidance, while Maddi focused on her music career, working on a collaboration with Grace Lilly.
