One couple found love early in episode 1, The Love of My Life. Emily and Santiago sparked a romance from their initial interactions and got engaged by the end of the episode. The pair overcame the hurdles that came their way and trusted their feelings for each other when faced with a challenge.

Santiago realized Emily was the one for him and decided to profess his love to her.

"I'm down on one knee. Will you marry me, my love?" Santiago asked.

Emily accepted his proposal, looking forward to building a future with him as his fiancee. The Love is Blind: Argentina couple met each other for the first time during their engagement ceremony in episode 2.

Although Emily was not the first person Santiago interacted with when he entered the pods, his connection with her stood out from the rest. He was caught off guard during their first date when he discovered her name. Santiago informed the female cast member that he dreamt of her the previous night.

"So, I was in a pod, waiting, you know, for the girl to come in. And all of a sudden out of nowhere I saw the name Emily," he explained.

Emily was pleasantly surprised and wanted to know more about the Love is Blind: Argentina star. Santiago believed they were "destined to meet" when he uncovered that Emily lived in the same area as him. Both cast members bonded over their love for soccer and looked forward to meeting each other soon.

Their relationship faced a minor hiccup when Emily discovered that Santiago wanted to explore his connection with Agustina, his first date, even after declaring Emily his first choice. The news upset her and she wondered if she was blindsiding herself by pursuing Santiago. Emily confronted the Love is Blind: Argentina star, asking him to explain his intentions.

Santiago clarified the confusion and confessed that although Agustina was his initial connection, his feelings changed after he met Emily. The couple reconciled and became hopeful about their future.

During one of their dates later in the episode, Emily stunned Santiago by disclosing that he was her second choice "at times."

"Even though I trusted you from the start, I also said I was scared that you were playing games with me. And at times, you were my second choice," she confessed.

The Love is Blind: Argentina star explained she was reacting to her insecurities because, in her heart, he was never her second choice. However, the news "deceived" Santiago, compelling him to "rethink things." He was upset that Emily was not honest about her feelings.

Despite the hiccup, Santiago realized his love for Emily was stronger than his doubts. He gifted her yellow lilies and professed his love on their next date. While speaking to the cameras, the Love is Blind: Argentina star confessed that he forgave her because he was "madly in love with her."

Santiago praised Emily for being honest and open about vulnerabilities. He complimented their connection and confessed he was in love with the "crazy Boca Juniors fan."

When Santiago asked her to marry him, Emily replied, "Yes, obviously."
