Love is Blind: Argentina season 1 premiered on Netflix on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. The unique dating experiment opened its doors to single men and women, all vying to find their future partners sight unseen. The cast engaged in deep and meaningful conversations while communicating through a wall.
While some singles found their matches in the pods, others left the experiment heartbroken. Meanwhile, some cast members found themselves in complicated love triangles, which often caused conflicts. One such triangle emerged between Santiago and his two love interests, Emily and Agustina.
However, after Agustina discovered that Santiago was pursuing another woman besides her, she decided to end their connection. As she broke up with him, she said:
"Believe me when I tell you I'm a queen. I mean it. I am a queen. And I want to be treated like one."
The Love is Blind: Argentina star disapproved of Santiago's decision to pursue two women simultaneously instead of committing to one. Agustina blamed him for misleading and blindsiding her by "sweet-talking" her into believing his intentions. Consequently, she severed ties with Santiago and moved on.
Love is Blind: Argentina: Agustina reminded Santiago of his ex-partner
Agustina was Santiago's first connection in the pods. However, their relationship dynamics changed after Santiago met Emily, whom he had dreamed about the previous night. He believed they were destined to be together, but at the same time, he did not want to stop interacting with Agustina.
When Agustina heard Emily boast about her connection with Santiago, she confronted the male cast member, questioning his intentions. Santiago reassured her of his feelings and confessed that he wanted to continue seeing her. However, their confrontation left Santiago feeling doubtful about whether he should commit to Agustina.
"Agustina is a lot like my ex. The way she talks and the way she expresses anger, it's very similar. Even the way she treats me, feels like my ex," Santiago said.
During their next date, Agustina revealed that she was unhappy with how Santiago handled their situation. She criticized the Love is Blind: Argentina star for blindly committing to Emily during their first "ten-minute date." She believed their relationship could have had a chance if he had not "married" Emily on the first date.
Agustina said his decision to eliminate the other options was not "smart" and quite "brash." She shared that she was uncomfortable going behind her "friend" Emily's back and bonding with Santiago.
"I feel like he's not being honest. He tells her one thing and then wants to sweet-talk me. I'm not buying any of that," Agustina said.
Meanwhile, while listening silently, Santiago confessed before the cameras that Agustina would not let him speak and went on like it was her "monologue."
The Love is Blind: Argentina female cast member said she wasted her time pursuing an "idiot" who made his choice based on a dream. Santiago listened in disbelief when Agustina called him a "dumba**" for choosing Emily over her. She claimed he was "sweet-talking" the 24-year-old Emily into believing him.
During a confessional, Santiago expressed his opinion of Agustina's behavior and said:
"Agustina is revealing a side of herself that, honestly, I just don't like."
Agustina ended her relationship with Santiago and "completely shut him off," urging him to continue pursuing Emily. Santiago defended himself by saying he followed his heart, however, Agustina left unimpressed. She stated she would never choose a man who would make her "fight for it."
