The idea of Love is Blind: Mexico, where single people get engaged without ever meeting, has won over the fans. Gerardo and Fernanda were the first couple on the show to get engaged, so they stood out right away.
While they were on a romantic getaway in Tulum, where they got closer, their bond seemed unbreakable. But their relationship started to fall apart when they moved in together. At first, Gerardo was seen as a loving and caring partner, but he started to forget the little things most important to Fernanda.
On the other hand, during the bachelor party in Love is Blind: Mexico, Gerardo opened up about his relationship with his friends.
"Im seeing red flags all over the place. She thinks I don't exercise or do sports. Somehow she's got it stuck in her head that I don't work out at all," Gerardo said.
From engagement to disenchantment: The cracks begin to show in Love is Blind: Mexico
Gerardo and Fernanda's romance on Love is Blind: Mexico quickly led to their engagement, making them the first couple to do so. Their attraction was evident, especially during their romantic trip to Tulum, where they grew closer. However, when they moved in together, their relationship was tested.
During the bachelorette party, Fernanda spoke to her friend, she said,
"For the barbecue, they asked him what kind of meat he wanted, but he didn't ask what I wanted. Get to know me, yeah, but that dude has no interest in getting to know the real me."
On the other side, Gerardo was confessing to his friends,
"I don't have to f*ck every day, I swear, dude. At the start, I felt a lot of peace. Now I don't feel that way."
Fernanda continued to tell her friend that she asked if he loved her and he said no and this made her feel like why they were even together. He complained about how annoyed he was that they were always arguing, especially over small things he thought were unimportant.
At the same time, Fernanda told her close friends at the bachelorette party how upset she was that Gerardo wasn't able to meet her emotional needs. She said that the relationship wasn't giving her as much happiness as she had hoped, and she was starting to wonder if they were really meant to be together.
After their conversation with friends, they both head back to their apartment to talk to each other. He said that he was in love but not enough to get married to her; she got really angry and told him that he was a jerk. So they decide to end their relationship in Love is Blind: Mexico and move on with their lives.
