Season 7 of Netflix's popular social media game series, The Circle, was released on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. It welcomed 10 new contestants who would flaunt their catfishing skills and compete against one another for a chance to win $100,000.
A game that restricted its players from seeing one another, enabled them to take advantage of their anonymity. The only communication they were allowed was through the Circle Chat. While some played as themselves, many chose to take on someone else's identity and play as an imposter. Unaware of the lies, each cast member strategically chose their alliances and enemies.
In episode 4, Garret struggled to choose between two groups who wanted him. On one side, there was Gianna and Rachel, and on the other, there was Kevin and Andy.
"I feel like I'm sitting on a fence and maybe I can sit on that fence a little longer. Maybe I can wait till the last minute before I choose sides," Garret said.
Deb, catfishing as Rachel, and Nicky and Jojo, catfishing as Gianna, developed a solid connection in the first episode. They hoped to get a third member on their team to become one of the strongest alliances in the game. At the same time, Kevin and Heather, playing Andy, wanted The Circle cast member on their side, hoping to form a "band" that would threaten the other contestants.
The Circle contestant Gianna claims she gets "genuine vibes" from Garret
In the fourth episode, titled Press to Impress, Nicky and Jojo (aka Gianna) looked forward to interacting with "newbie Garret," hoping to convince him to join their group with Rachel. They claimed they needed "one of the four guys" on their team.
"Honestly, I do get very genuine vibes from Garret. We already know how we feel about Rachel," Jojo said.
Nicky and Jojo invited Garret to the group chat and complimented his genuineness and trustworthiness. Rachel chimed in and emphasized the importance of loyalty. She hoped Garret would feel empowered being in a group of "women."
Meanwhile, Nicky and Jojo were pleased that Garret could see "Kevin's true colors." Kevin was scrutinized the previous night for blocking his connection, Savannah. They even added the hashtag "#NewBesties" in the message, hoping Garret sided with them before bonding with anyone else.
On the other hand, Kevin and Heather, playing as Andy, continued to consolidate their alliance. Kevin wondered if they could add new members to their "band."
"Love to hear it, but the band needs more members. I know Garret likes to #RockAndRoll. Let's invite him to the chat?" Kevin asked.
Although Andy agreed to accept Garret, he urged Kevin to keep him "backstage" until they knew more about them. Kevin invited Garret to a group chat, while The Circle cast member was still exploring his connection with Gianna and Rachel.
He wanted to conclude his conversation with Rachel and Gianna before heading to Kevin's. As a result, he sent an abrupt message to them and left their group chat.
"Babes, I'm so glad you reached out. Feeling better after we've connected. #CircleBesties. I've gotta finish my last set in the gym. Those puppies won't carry themselves, even though I'm a #CatDaddy," Garret said.
Rachel and Gianna thought his exit was a little "weird." Meanwhile, Garret wondered if he left the chat "a little too abruptly." He feared he made the wrong choice by deciding to join Kevin and Andy's chat.
His worries were put to rest when Kevin asked him to join their band. Garret accepted the exciting proposal. When The Circle cast member Andy welcomed him, he said:
"I really appreciate being invited to the band. Feels great to be included," Garret wrote.
After receiving tempting proposals from both parties, The Circle star pondered which alliance to join. He admitted he was "torn" between the two. However, he decided to weigh his options before finalizing anything.
The Circle season 7 is available to stream only on Netflix.
