The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) is currently airing its season 18 and brought back Tamra Judge, who was fired from the show in 2020 before season 15. When she returned to the show, Tamra quickly became the center of attention, and she received a lot of backlash.
She was criticized for joining forces with another returning housewife, Alexis Bellino, to oppress Shannon Storms Beador. This led to fans calling for both Tamra and Alexis to be fired from the show.
Judge discussed the backlash in the August 23, 2024, episode of her Two Ts in a Pod podcast, which she hosts with Teddi Mellencamp. Tamra said that she was a "truthteller" and not the villain, adding that her delivery may not be "sweet as pie," but that's how she was.
"I’m the truth-teller. I’m not a f**king villain! Maybe my delivery isn’t as sweet as pie but you know what? That’s how I am."
The Real Housewives of Orange County began airing on Bravo in 2006, and for 17 seasons, it has garnered a huge fan following. The show focuses on the glitz, glamor, and drama between the Housewives, revealing the friendships and rivalries between the women of Orange County, California.
Tamra Judge faces backlash in The Real Housewives of Orange County
Tamra Judge has been a part of The Real Housewives of Orange County since she joined the show in its third season. She was a main cast member on the show until she was fired in season 14 in 2020. However, she returned to the show in season 17 and seemingly stirred up some drama, which fans weren't too pleased with.
Fans of the show didn't like Tamra's plan to work together with another returning Housewife, Alexis Bellino, to take on Shannon Storms Beador. Tamra and Alexis' actions got them a lot of backlash as viewers wanted them fired from the show.
Judge was shocked at the backlash she received and spoke about it on the Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Teddi Mellencamp. She said that she went into the new season thinking she was "being a good friend," who wasn't enabling, but that wasn't "how it's come out."
"I went in this whole season thinking I’m being a good friend, I’m not enabling. And look how it’s come out," Judge stated.
Tamra also discussed how her relationship with The Real Housewives of Orange County fans has been rough at times. She noted that it wasn't the first time people have called for her removal from the show. Judge then recalled that fans swiftly demanded her return after her termination from the show in 2020.
Tamra hints at future revelations involving Shannon Beador in RHOC
Due to all the trouble with Shannon Storms Beador, Tamra hinted at more information being revealed soon and used Shannon's words against her. She said that people should "keep watching" The Real Housewives of Orange County to see how the truth unfolds.
This was in reference to what Shannon had said in Season 9 during a fight with Heather and Terry Dubrow.
"YOU GUYS WILL ALL SEE!" Everyone will see the truth!" Shannon had supposedly said.
Tamra saw Shannon's comments as an attack and brought up old arguments about Shannon's behavior and her alleged drinking.
The hints that Tamra has dropped about Shannon show that the problems between them are still not over in The Real Housewives of Orange County. By asking others to keep watching, she set the stage for more drama and maybe even revenge as the show progresses.
It remains to be seen if Tamra's claims will change people's minds. However, her position is clear, she is not backing down and believes that what is happening will justify what she is doing.
As long as The Real Housewives of Orange County is on, the drama will go on because new information and changing alliances are always possible. As the stories go on, fans will have to keep watching to see if Tamra's decision to tell the truth will pay off in the end.
Fans can watch the new episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County every Thursday on Bravo.
