“I need to make a decision”: Love is Blind Mexico star Gerardo torn between Mafer and Fernanda before he went with the latter 

Love is Blind Mexico finally arrived on August 1 and has added itself to the list of international versions of the coveted Netflix dating reality show. The first four episodes, which were released, saw some of the 30 total contestants getting to know each other, and a handful of them even got engaged.

Many of them had sparks flying with more than one partner which meant that they had to make tough decisions in a stipulated time. Gerardo's case was one of these. He found an instant connection with Fernanda when he first met her. She could've easily been his number one until he came across Mafer.

When he started having intimate talks with both of them, he felt torn between them. Before making a decision, Gerardo said in a confessional,

"I need to make a decision".

He eventually ended his dilemma by sticking to Fernanda and letting go of Mafer.

Gerardo's journey with Mafer and Fernanda and what caused him to be torn between the two on Love is Blind Mexico

When Gerardo and Fernanda first talked to each other in episode 1 of Love is Blind Mexico, Fernanda asked him what sports he played because she was into such things. When she didn't get a definitive answer back from him, she teased him, saying,

"I'm not sure you've even convinced yourself".

They then bonded over the fact that they both loved being in the forest and the mountains. She then said that what mattered to her the most was the fact that she should be able to do the activities she liked with her partner.

Then came his time with Mafer on Love is Blind Mexico. They instantly related because they both liked writing songs. Gerardo told her he liked camping and going on retreats, which Mafer thought was fun because she liked adventure.

When she stepped out of her pod after the date, she jumped and giggled and said, "I'm so excited," which reflected her state of mind after talking to Gerardo. On another date, they spoke about their s*xual preferences, where Mafer asked him if he liked being submissive. He said he didn't mind as long as she was okay with it.

Back to his date with Fernanda, they spoke about how important s*x was to them as a couple. Fernanda also cleared out that she wasn't open to threesomes, which was agreed to by Gerardo, who said he preferred the more "wholesome" kind of love.

When he met Mafer next on Love is Blind Mexico, they spoke about their families. They both shared that they were really close to their families. Things then got emotional as they spoke about their grandparents' passing. Mafer shared that all her four grandparents were gone, while Gerardo shared how his grandmother had died of cancer.

Fernanda and Mafer then met in the ladies' common room and told each other that they were both going on dates with Gerardo. Fernanda said that he was her only match and that she would go home if they didn't match. So she decided to confront him when they met next.

Gerardo said he clicked with her the day they spoke about wholesome love. He said Fernanda's kind of love would make one feel at peace, which is what he loved about it. On the other hand, after he narrated his grandma's passing because of cancer and Mafer asked him if he had a problem with her smoking, he said he wouldn't want their house to smell like cigarettes all the time.

On his next date on Love is Blind Mexico, Mafer sent him a red blanket with a spritz of her perfume on it. She said she had written a song for him also which she sang for him. He was very touched by her performance but told her he was going to pick Fernanda.

He then met Fernanda, who had sent him a plant as a gift. He told her he was going to say no to Mafer that day, but he had a really good time with her. Fernanda then asked him to make a decision. Torn between the two, Gerardo finally proposed to Fernanda.
