The Golden Bachelorette has been one of the fan-favorite spinoff series of The Bachelor franchise. In this show, Joan Vassos' journey to find love was the major focus as her suitors competed to win her heart. Throughout the show, Joan went on one-on-one dates with her fellow cast members to get to know them better and make a final decision towards the end.

In the Golden Bachelorette episode 9, titled The Men Tell All, released on November 6, 2024, Pascal decided to go home ahead of the finale. In an exclusive November 7, 2024, interview with People Magazine, Pascal called himself "very picky" and explained why he decided to leave early.

During his time on the show, he learned that ultimately, "it has to be the right person," and being your type is essential. He elaborated:

"What I learned, it has to be the right person. You could give me 55 women, if they're not my type, they're not my type, no matter what they do, no matter what they say. If they're not my type, they're not my type. I need that spark. I need that sense. I need that smell. I need that touch. And that's the combination of everything.”

Pascal reflects on his time on The Golden Bachelorette

During his interview, Pascal shared that he might have come off as "snobby" to the viewers and wished to showcase more parts of his life on camera. He admitted to having a good financial status. However, The Golden Bachelorette cast member stated that he never showed off his wealth. Talking about his struggles to build a lifestyle for himself and his family, Pascal added:

"I'm high-maintenance, no doubt, but I'm down to earth. I'm a very generous person. I love to give. I love to take care of people. I'm a caregiver and I will give the shirt of my back for the people who need it."

Then, he also shared what motivated him to sign up for the ABC series, The Golden Bachelorette. Pascal was aware of the show format until he watched The Golden Bachelor. Despite having watched Gerry Turner's season, Pascal went to find love again with an "open mind." Even after having certain assumptions, he ended up having a "great time" and an "incredible experience." He said:

"I'm going with the flow, having a great time. And then, it was an incredible experience.”

Reflecting on his time on The Golden Bachelorette, Pascal shared that she learned to be vulnerable and show his emotions openly. Pascal stated that this lesson helped him improve his relationship with his children and understand them better. Before going on the show, Pascal considered expressing vulnerability to be a "weakness." He elaborated:

"I felt like that was a sign of weakness before the show. When I saw those guys crying, I said, ‘I guess it's okay. It's okay to open up. It's okay to have feelings.’ And it was interesting.”

New episodes of The Golden Bachelorette air every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on ABC. Fans can follow Pascal on his official Instagram account. The finale will air exclusively on ABC on November 13, 2024.
