Too Hot to Handle season 6 concluded on Friday, August 2, 2024. Bri and Demari were declared winners as they walked away with the $100,000 prize money, whereas Katherine and Charlie ended the season as runners-up.

In an interview with Marie Claire on August 2, 2024, Katherine revisited her time on the Netflix show. She opened up about the tough decisions she had to make while navigating her relationship with beau, Charlie. The 28-year-old cast member recalled how nerve-racking it was breaking up with Louis to be with Charlie.

"I was so nervous. I don't even remember what I said. I think I completely blacked out. I was really trying to stay calm," said Katherine.

The Too Hot to Handle star admitted she struggled to express her feelings. She refused to confront her emotions, fearing she might hurt herself. Katherine revealed how her abandonment issues with her father impacted her personality and forced her to close up.

As a result, she noted how difficult it was for her to express her concerns to Louis during their breakup. She said she found compatibility with Charlie who offered her the emotional stability she desired in a relationship.

Too Hot to Handle season 6: Katherine realizes her relationship with Louis was more physical than emotional

During a self-reflective workshop in episode 5, the cast members shared their vulnerabilities and inhibitions. Katherine and Charlie who were teamed up for that workshop, realized how connected they felt with each other. Upon seeing Charlie's emotional side, Katherine started developing feelings for him.

As a result, she began reconsidering her relationship with Louis, which she felt was more physical than emotional. Together Katherine and Louis had many rule breaks, which showcased how intimate they were during their time together.

"It was just all the continuous rule breaks and stuff. I felt like all of our conversations were very s*xual-based. I know it takes two to tango. We were both doing it to each other, and when I realized that it just wasn't getting anywhere else, I was like, Okay, maybe I do want to focus more on having a deeper connection," said Katherine.

She added she wanted to have "real conversations" about her relationship and the future. She needed someone to show interest in who she was as a person before judging her for her appearance.

When she heard Charlie speak about his hardships growing up and the challenges he pursued to work on himself, she knew she could forge a meaningful connection with him which could emotionally gratify her. The Too Hot to Handle cast member broke up with Louis to build a relationship with Charlie in episode 6.

"That [breakup] was the most nervous I've ever been on the show. I've never broken up with someone in person. I've always done it on a phone call, over text, and the workshop before that was all about being honest. So I had to really sit him down and tell him that it wasn't really like working out," stated Katherine.

It was the workshop that provided Katherine with the courage to confront Louis about her feelings.

"But I think before that I was like, 'I can't do this. This is not what I do. I'm not used to this.' I was freaking out," added Katherine.

The Too Hot to Handle star noted that despite breaking up with Louis on the show, they remained on good terms. She said she did not have "bad blood with anybody." Since they were not "boyfriend and girlfriend" it was not that "big of a deal." She commended his "goofy" personality, saying she would never want to "get rid of that friendship" with him.

In the meantime, in the interview, Katherine revealed she and Charlie were still together. The Too Hot to Handle couple managed a long-distance relationship as they traveled back and forth between the UK and the US.

"We've been traveling back and forth since the show, and we've been seeing each other. He has been out here to LA already a couple of times. I've visited him in the UK. He's such a beautiful person inside out. Every time I see him, I feel like my feelings for him just grow stronger," said Katherine.

Too Hot to Handle season 6 is currently streaming only on Netflix.
