Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on Netflix, and episode 9 featured a confrontation between Bre, Chelsea, and Emma over their feud. The incident took place at Jason's dog Niko's funeral and grabbed everyone's attention.
Earlier in the season, Bre's friend Amanda Lynn informed her that Chelsea's husband, Jeff Lazkani, was seen with someone else. Bre went to Chelsea and tried to talk on the matter, but Chelsea was upset that instead of pulling her personally for a talk, Bre decided to talk about the matter on camera. She felt this was an attempt to tarnish her reputation in front of millions of people.
In episode 9, Bre was involved in an argument with Emma, Chelsea, and Chrishell, where she defended herself by saying that it was Amanda's idea to bring Chelsea's personal matter onto the camera. She said that if she wanted to take Chelsea down, she would have already done it.
"If I really wanted to take Chelsea down, I had the perfect opportunity to do that. I really did," Bre said.
Selling Sunset episode 9: Emma confronts Bre to know the truth
After the funeral ceremony in Selling Sunset episode 9, Emma approached Bre to clarify the information Amanda gave her about Chelsea's husband cheating on her. Emma wanted to know the truth and said that she was on Chealse's side.
Bre said she was not responsible for what came out of Amanda's mouth. She explained that Amanda talks about people, and that's who she is. Bre added that she does not care enough about backstabbing her. She just wanted to clear things out, and that's why she took the information to Chelsea.
Bre then questioned her friendship with Emma for doubting her motives and not knowing her that well. She was also unhappy about the fact that Emma did not have a conversation with her when Chelsea was talking behind her back. Emma tried to mend their friendship, however, Bre was not up for that conversation.
Bre and Chelsea's feud explained
Bre and Chelsea's feud in Selling Sunset began in season 6 episode 1, when Chelsea invited her friends Alexanne and Savanna to Emma’s broker’s open. Bre was also present at the scene and said that she knew Chelsea's friends and did get along with them.
Bre questioned Chelsea if she brought them to make her uncomfortable, however, Chelsea denied that she had any motive behind the act. Chelsea later shared that her friends told her that Bre "wasn't even an actual real estate agent."
In the show, Chelsea started to talk behind Bre's back about her personal relationship with Nick Cannon and his multiple kids. She said Bre was being “bamboozled” and called Nick a “master manipulator.” Later, Chelsea added that, being a Christian, she was not sure if she would ever be close friends with Bre.
Bre confronted Chelsea after learning about her comments, and things got worse. Their feud carried on to Selling Sunset season 7, and there was no going back.
Chealse tried to apologize to Bre for all the things she said. However, in a conversation with her co-star Chrishell Stause, Bre revealed that she did not accept the apology because she felt it wasn't genuine. Chrishell informed Chelsea about her conversation with Bre, and Chelsea wasn't happy that Bre thought her apology was not sincere.
Later in season 7 of Selling Sunset, Chelsea became friends with Cassandra Repstad, who also did not like Bre. Chelsea even tried to convince Jason to recruit Cassandra to the Oppenheim Group. Bre thought that Chelsea had become friends with Cassandra to have someone to talk about her personal life behind her back.
The two friends went on and had a conversation with Bre at a party. They talked about her personality and suggested she be more open with new people. Bre said that she would act the way she wanted and left the party.
