When the show first premiered in 2019, cast members Mary Bonnet and Christine Quinn were close friends. However, soon their friendship cracked over time and the two ended up being on separate sides of the cast group division. In March 2024, Christine Quinn split from her husband Dumontet after five years of marriage. Upon hearing this, Mary reached out to her former friend and checked up on her.

In a conversation with Us Weekly on September 7, 2024, Selling Sunset star Mary Bonnet shared her friendship status with former cast member Christine Quinn. Despite not staying in contact as best friends, she said that she had reached out to Quinn during her divorce.

In the interview, Mary shared that she wanted to support her former co-star Christine Quinn despite their differences. She texted Christine to show "love and concern" because she'd been in a similar situation before. However, Mary made it clear she had no plans to be best friends with Quinn again but simply wanted to stay on good terms and offer support.

"I sent her a text just saying, ‘Hey, I’ve been through this before and I just want to express my love and concern and stuff. I hope you and your son are doing OK. Let me know if you need anything,’ My intention isn’t to rekindle some big friendship, but I mean, I’m there for anybody that’s going through a hard time," Mary said.

Reflecting on their friendship, Mary said she missed their friendship from when they first worked together. Mary and Quinn were friends when Selling Sunset premiered back in March 2019, but later on, viewers could sense their friendship wasn't the same anymore. In April 2022, Quinn left the show as well as the LA-based real estate firm.

In her interview, Mary continued stating that she hoped she and Quinn would resolve their issues and move past their conflict. Even though that didn't exactly happen, Mary still has love for her former co-star.

“What it was in the beginning, I’ve always missed it. I adored her, and I think that’s why I stuck around for so long. I kept hoping that something was going to change and hoping that I could help fix things or something. I’ll always love Christine," Mary said.
