Ellie Dubaich was one of the central characters of season 9 and is known among fans for her bossy attitude. The stew recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and apologized for her actions and mistakes on the show.
In an interview with US Weekly on September 20, Captain Sandy Yawn appreciated Dubaich's efforts and shared that she respects the second stew for accepting her mistakes. Captain Sandy said,
"I can say that as long as [crew members are] accountable for their behavior to me, I respect her. I respect her for that, and I believe she will change."

In her interview with US Weekly, Captain Sandy discussed Dubaich's behavior and her apology. She mentioned that she believes Dubaich is aware of her actions. Captain Sandy respected the second stew for taking accountability for her behavior and apologizing in front of everyone. She said:
“I think Ellie knows her behavior. I watched [her apology on] Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, and I really respect Ellie for admitting she was wrong.”
The 59-year-old captain shared that she found Dubaich's behavior on the show "disturbing." She suggested that the stew needed to figure out her self-worth and get things together. Captain Sandy added that the Dubaich realized where she stood and apologized for her behavior on WWHL.
“Ellie needs to decide what she thinks about herself. And I think she did on WWHL, and I respect that.”
The captain is usually not involved in her crew's personal drama. However, she had some things to share after watching it unfold on her TV screen.
“You never know until you watch the show. Because when I walk in the room, everyone’s on their best behavior. Sometimes I choose not to walk in the room so I don’t wanna shift their mood.”
She added that she already has a lot of things on her plate and often leaves her Below Deck Mediterranean crew to take care of their personal matter.
Ellie Dubaich's run on Below Deck Mediterranean
Ellie Dubaich returned in season 9 and became an integral part of Below Deck Mediterranean. She was offered the stew position and befriended her fellow stew, Bri Muller. The two maintained a decent friendship until they were involved in a love triangle with Deckhand Joe Bradley. The two stews frequently clashed, and neither of them ended up with Joe.
The story repeated itself after Stew Carrie O'Neill's mid-charter arrival. Joe began to show interest in the new Below Deck Mediterranean cast member, but it rubbed Dubaich the wrong way. She took charge and tried to show her dominance over O'Neill. Dubaich realized her mistakes and apologized for her actions on the WWHL.
