The much-awaited season 8 of Selling Sunset was released on September 6 on Netflix, which released all 11 episodes of the show together. The ardent fans of the cult-favourite show binge-watched it and were already feeling bereft, so they were waiting for a reunion episode.
Unfortunately, according to what was reported by Variety on September 11, the reunion episode was cancelled. The cast refused to appear for a reunion because of their ongoing feuds. Mary, however, appeared in an interview with US Weekly, on September 15, where she spilled some tea about the aftermath of the season, in a reunion-like questionnaire.
She said some of the confessionals she saw were very surprising to her and the interviewer asked her to specify which ones. She mentioned Nicole's episode 5, confessional where she had talked about Emma sleeping with a married man and said:
"I was very shocked because I mean I thought that she was going to listen to us because she did say like 'I don't want any more problems'".

While talking about the aftermath of Selling Sunset, Mary said that while they were filming they weren't seeing a lot of things. They weren't in the other scenes or confessionals so they too were shocked to see some of them. The interviewer then prodded Mary to divulge which confessional specifically surprised her.
Mary said that Nicole's confessional in Selling Sunset season 8 episode 5 about Emma's alleged affair with a married man was the most shocking one, she had heard of it before, but as a rumour, so she didn't pay much attention to it. But watching Nicole reveal it big on camera was shocking to her.
Mary added that it was specifically off-putting because Nicole had just gotten into the "good graces" of the cast after her apology to Chrishell in episode 4 for supporting a fan who according to Chrishell was writing "homophobic" comments on her page. Mary then spoke about what Nicole might've to go through for spreading the rumor saying:
"I'm sure she's going to have a rough couple months or whatever, after this airs, and fan responses and just the cast responses like it's not going to be an easy road for her".
The interviewer then brought up Mary's friendship with Nicole and asked that the two of them had been friends for a while so was this where Mary would draw a line and take a step back? Mary said absolutely. She then said that Emma was a sweet girl and felt bad that Emma was being portrayed like that.
Defending her Selling Sunset co-star further, Mary said that after clarifying the same with Emma, she could tell that she wasn't having an affair with a married man. She added that Emma was very picky about who she dated so she knew the chances of this being the truth were very low. Mary then revealed how Emma was reacting to the whole thing saying:
"She is extremely upset, to say the least. So I feel bad...she doesn't deserve to be called out like that, especially the fact that it's not true".
The interviewer then asked Mary why Nicole liked stirring the pot in an otherwise smoothly flowing environment. Mary said she didn't know, and neither did she know if Nicole had some vendetta against Emma. She said it made no sense to her or Amanza, another cast member who was present during their conversation on Emma's rumour in episode 5 of Selling Sunset.
Nicole had brought up Emma's rumour after the news of Chelsea's husband cheating came out. Nicole said that Emma, Chelsea's best friend, couldn't be supporting Chelsea when she was seeing a married man herself.
All 8 seasons of Selling Sunset are available to watch on Netflix.
