"I think I'm just done trying" — Love is Blind star Hannah calls off her wedding with Nick

Netflix's popular dating show Love is Blind released episodes 10 and 11 on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. It featured the couples tackling the challenges of everyday life while attempting to keep their romantic spark alive. However, the journey they embarked on was not without hurdles.

While some couples struggled to trust each other, others failed to overlook their conflicting lifestyles and personalities. Among them were Hannah and Nick. Their journey outside the pods took a turn when Hannah recognized their incompatibility.

In episode 11, The Risk of Falling in Love, Hannah revealed she was unhappy with Nick's lack of initiative and his unbothered take on life. The Love is Blind female cast member ultimately called off their wedding, stating:

"I think I'm just done trying."

Hannah admitted she was tired of teaching Nick "how to love" and pushing him out of his comfort zone. Despite her efforts, she couldn't see any growth in him. Hannah felt he was too laid back and had no significant responsibilities as an adult. Even after Nick requested Hannah not to "demean" him, the female cast member refused to back off.

Overwhelmed by their differences, Hannah called off the wedding and parted ways.

"We are not gonna get married" — Love is Blind star Hannah decides against marrying Nick

Hannah revealed her concerns in a one-on-one conversation with Nick in episode 11. She said the "five concerns" she had regarding Nick "never went away" because he kept repeating those actions. According to her, he lacked social awareness and respect. She claimed he was egotistical and delusional because he could never see Hannah's feelings.

Nick felt Hannah was "demeaning" him and criticizing how he carried himself daily. It led Hannah to inquire him about his "responsibilities." Nick explained he looked after himself, his work, his car, his cat and the people around him. However, it didn't satisfy Hannah.

"I've never seen this side of you when you constantly bash me and say, 'I'm turning you from a boy to a man.' This is just you being kind of, like, hard on me," Nick said.

The Love is Blind star added that the conversation was overwhelming him. However, Hannah refused to believe that she was "bashing" him.

She accused him of allegedly being too concerned about his image. Hannah claimed he was worried he would look bad in front of his family and friends if he did not go to try on wedding dresses like the other couples. Nick explained he felt that way because Hannah said she did not know him "at all."

While speaking to the cameras, she commented on how Nick "manipulated" her.

"Nick's very good at telling people what they want to hear. And I feel very manipulated. And I feel very weak. I feel like he was so worried about, like, how his friends, family, and everybody views him, and how bad he was gonna look instead of actually trying to focus on just being here with me and being open and honest," Hannah said.

The Love is Blind star added that she was unsure if the Nick she knew was genuine. She struggled to trust his words or actions, second-guessing his intentions for her and their relationship. Finally, she said:

"Right now, you know that this is not gonna work. We are not gonna get married."

While speaking to the cameras, Nick admitted he had no "ulterior motives other than getting married and finding love." The Love is Blind star confessed he was hopeful about his relationship with Hannah and wanted a future with her. However, things did not turn out the way he had hoped. The couple parted ways but stated that they still loved each other.
