“I think the seed has been sown” - Love is Blind UK star Benaiah proposes to Nicole

Love Is Blind UK released its second batch of four episodes (5-8) on Netflix this Wednesday, August 14, 2024. This show has taken another leap in Episode 5, where the couples are on vacation in Greece, and would finally get to be with each other. During Episode 4 of Love Is Blind UK, six couples got engaged, but Nicole and Sam did not make it to Greece. Nicole decided to not continue with Sam in the show.

Nicole seemed hesitant after meeting Sam in person and felt that the connection was missing. She decided to not go to Greece and felt apologetic about not listening to Benaiah. In Episode 5 of Love Is Blind UK, Benaiah and Nicole decided to meet in person as Nicole wanted to apologize to him. Benaiah expressed on meeting Nicole that he was sure that they would end up together.

Nicole accepted that she made a mistake. Benaiah took the opportunity to go down on his knees and propose to Nicole.

He said:

"I came here today with the intention of addressing, you know, you wanting reassurance, wanting the commitment. And I could not give you that. So, I need to stand up, because I think the seed has been sown."

Benaiah proposed to Nicole in Episode 5 of Love Is Blind UK

Benaiah was one of the two connections that Nicole made in the pods on Love Is Blind UK. She did get engaged to Sam in Episode 4, but soon realized that they were not meant to be together. She decided to drop the vacation to Greece along with other engaged couples and called off her engagement with Sam. Nicole opened up about the hesitation she felt with Sam in the confessional.

She said:

"When I took the ring, I placed it on the wrong finger, on the right finger. He did not notice. I think now when I look back in hindsight, that was a sign that it wasn't just right."

She said that she was very clear about her emotions, and she won't be flying to Greece with Sam.

Episode 5 of Love Is Blind UK opened with Nicole being candid about making the wrong decision by choosing Sam. She also added that at that point she wanted to apologize to Benaiah as she felt he was not the second best, but the best one for her, and that she wanted to be with him.

Benaiah and Nicole met each other. They had an expression of awe, as they were seeing each other for the very first time. Nicole took the chance to share about all that had happened.

She said:

"I wanna be open with you 'cause I think you deserve that. I think ultimately, I am sorry. I instantly, I don't wanna say regret, I instantly knew I made a mistake choosing Sam. We called it off. Something didn't feel right from the beginning."

She further added:

"I knew, I liked you more, and pouring into you more emotionally, but I didn't feel like actually emotionally you were pouring back. So, I decided to keep my options open, and ultimately by choosing someone who was 'emotionally available', I then made a decision that wasn't quite right, you know? You were so right, and I didn't wanna hear it. I am so sorry."

Benaiah gracefully told Nicole that she need not apologize to him. He also confessed that deep down, he knew they would be together. Although heartbroken by rejection, he knew that he had something authentic with her, and acknowledged that the right thing had happened. He said:

"Walking u there, a bit nervous. I was like, 'As soon as I see you, and start talking to you, I am gonna be at peace.' But it tells me it is real. I have lost you once. I don't wanna lose you again."

Benaiah expressed that he came to meet her because he wanted to address the commitment issues Nicole had with him earlier on the show, Love Is Blind UK. He got down on his knees and finally proposed to her. He said:

"I am asking you today, Nicole, will you marry me?
