Love Is Blind season 7 introduced fans of the reality show to medical device salesperson Hannah Jiles. Hannah entered the house of Love Is Blind as one of the singles competing to find the love of their lives. Like previous iterations, there is a wall between the singles as they try to connect on an emotional rather than a physical level.
Recently, fans of the reality dating show noticed through Hannah's social media accounts that she had shed a lot of weight since her appearance on Love Is Blind. Many claimed that Hannah achieved such drastic results by taking Ozempic, an FDA-approved prescription medication for people with type 2 diabetes.
In an October 17 interview with People, Hannah addressed the rumors and told fans that she did take the medicine but had to stop early due to some side effects.
“Everyone's saying I am on Ozempic. I did try Ozempic. Back in the spring, I tried it for two weeks, I think. And unfortunately, I think it's an amazing thing, but it made me so sick I couldn't take it. Trust me, I would take it if I could. But it was just all me,” stated Hannah.
Hannah was in the midst of her weight loss journey during the filming of Love Is Blind
During her time on Love Is Blind, Hannah matched up with Nick in the pods and even confided in him about issues regarding weight loss that she had suffered throughout her life.
In her interview with People, Hannah explained that her weight has fluctuated since childhood, and while filming the dating show, she was in the middle of her weight loss journey.
Hannah claimed she was always “super insecure" about her weight and felt like a change was needed. In her interview, she expressed disappointment in the online comments, which suggested she was a liar, and claimed she "really tried hard.” She further said that even though she had undergone other medical procedures, it hadn't changed who she was inside.
“Since [the show], I've gotten Botox, I've gotten lip injections, got hair extensions, I've done things like that. But I haven't changed who I am or have done anything. I had a goal and I was going to get there,” expressed Hannah.
Jiles posted a video on her Instagram account on October 9 showing her weight loss since filming season 7 of Love Is Blind. In the post, she put her headshot from the dating show as she lip-synced to Dakota Fanning’s lines from 2003’s Uptown Girls. In the caption, she added, “Same girl, just a healthier mindset.”
Hannah shared with People that she was the type of person who didn't like working out and loved eating. She had tried crash diets in the past, but they had never worked out for her. That was why she switched to exercise, including pilates and yoga. She also claimed to have figured out how to maintain a healthy relationship with food, as she didn't eat much.
What happened to Hannah and Nick on Love Is Blind?
As mentioned, Hannah found love in the form of former college football player Nick. The couple quickly transitioned their love from the pods to the outside world as they moved to Mexico with other couples. The trip brought them even closer as they shared intimate details about each other.
When the couple decided to move together on Love Is Blind, Hannah discovered that her lifestyle differed from Nick’s. Nick was still on his parents' phone plan and lived in their basement. Even though their parents approved, Hannah got frustrated with Nick’s lack of initiative.
Hannah ultimately called off the wedding after the couple met Hannah's friends, who weren't impressed by Nick's lifestyle. Hannah noted Nick's flaws in her notebook and listed them individually, which made the latter feel disrespected. They ended their relationship with a hug.
