"I've got a fiancee" — Love is Blind: UK stars Freddie and Catherine get engaged in Episode 3

Love is Blind: UK premiered on Netflix on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The British spin-off of the popular series allowed its cast members to interact with multiple people to find out who best suited their needs for a partner.

Singles from various walks of life participated in the experiment hoping they could find love in the pods. While others failed to form genuine connections, some developed relationships that culminated in engagements. One such couple was Freddie and Catherine, who got engaged in Episode 3. After Freddie put the ring on Catherine's finger, he said:

"I've got a fiancee. How mad's that?"

The Love is Blind: UK couple started their journey early in the show. While Freddie was set on Catherine, the latter struggled to decide between him and Ollie. Eventually, as her connection with Freddie progressed, she drifted away from Ollie. When co-star Demi expressed her desire to pursue Ollie, Catherine took a step back and devoted herself to Freddie.

Love is Blind: UK stars Freddie and Catherine got emotional after seeing each other for the first time

Catherine started developing feelings for Freddie and confessed she made the right decision by letting Ollie go. Freddie entered the experiment looking for a wife and claimed Catherine to be his best match. The two of them bonded immediately and looked forward to spending the rest of their lives together.

"Catherine's definitely my number one. The things we've got in common is just crazy. I'm quite a spiritual person. I believe in energy, and the energy feels...it feels good. It makes you tingle," said Freddie.

During one of their dates, the Love is Blind: UK cast member confessed Catherine made him feel "at ease." Every time he entered the pods, he felt anxious, but it was a calming experience with her.

He added that since their first date, she was the only person he thought was "mint." Catherine felt flattered and said:

"I feel like I've got the jackpot with you. I just feel so lucky."

Freddie mustered the courage and professed his love to Catherine. She impressed him by reciprocating his feelings. The Love is Blind: UK star reassured him that he was "the one" for her. He could not believe how deeply they had fallen for each other.

On their next date in the episode, Freddie stated he had never felt the feelings he felt for her. She was the only person on his mind, and the person he knew he was "destined to be with." While reading a confessional letter to Catherine, he mentioned that their connection was "written in the stars."

Having confessed his feelings, he prosed to her, and Catherine gladly accepted it. They looked forward to meeting each other at the engagement ceremony. While Freddie felt anxious, Catherine wanted to embrace him.

"The first thing I wanna do when I see Freddie is just hold him. Seeing his eyes, just look at him. That's all I wanna do," said Catherine.

When the doors opened, they walked toward each other with tearful eyes. They took a moment to look at each other and internalize their feelings.

"Oh, I can't believe it. I'm shaking," said Freddie.

The Love is Blind: UK cast member pulled out the ring and asked Catherine if she wanted to make him "the happiest guy in the world" by being his wife. An emotional Catherine nodded yes, and the two kissed. She said she looked forward to meeting his family and starting a new life with him.

While speaking to the cameras, Catherine mentioned meeting Freddie made everything feel "real" and she was lucky to have encountered him in the pods.
