Although she could not be the 'golden bachelorette,' she met potential suitors on the other show. However, she confessed she did not know if she wanted to be in a relationship in the first place.

"I did meet people on the show, and I'll leave it at that...I don't know that I'm even ready for a relationship right now. I just want to have fun," she said.

RHOC star Shannon says Andy Cohen pitched The Love Hotel to her

When Nick asked if Shannon would ever want to be the Golden Bachelorette, she revealed that she initially floated the idea of becoming the first Golden Bachelorette but knew the producers would choose to cast someone from the previous seasons of the franchise.

"We have some producers who work for the Bachelor franchise and I said, 'What about me being the Golden Bachelorette?' " she said.

Although she knew her idea would get rejected, she still "kind of put it there." The offer finally landed with Joan Vassos. While speaking of Joan, the RHOC star stated she had to meet her. Shannon claimed they had a "lot of stuff in common."

Shannon's interest in finding a life partner sparked interest from 56-year-old Bravo producer Andy Cohen, who pitched a different show to the RHOC star. While narrating the incident on the podcast, Shannon said that Andy called her with an "interesting idea," asking her to join the cast of The Love Hotel.

Shannon revealed she was the oldest star on the upcoming dating show, which made her feel like the "golden bachelorette on The Love Hotel." The Housewife praised the premise of her new project, saying "It's really good," hopeful that viewers would enjoy watching it as much as she did filming it.

The RHOC cast alum stated that The Love Hotel was not too different from The Golden Bachelorette. She explained that like the ABC show, viewers would get a "story" with every episode instead of casual dating in The Love Hotel. She confessed that as an older woman, she had a different approach to the idea of romance.

"It's like we have story and issues and we're all single for a reason. So we all have triggers and all that sort of stuff, so it's good," Shannon said.

The RHOC cast member insisted she was not ready for a new relationship after her breakup with her partner, John Janssen but hinted that she might have bonded with someone on the upcoming show. Nonetheless, she was satisfied with where she stood in life at the present moment.

"With this new show, we film our interview confessionals in New York. Two of my three daughters live in New York City, so I'm having fun...I met a lot of new people on the show The Love Hotel. We're all going to be friends for life," Shannon said.

The three-part RHOC season 18 reunion will be released on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 9 pm ET, only on Bravo.
