Love After Lockup season 5 gives a glimpse into the lives of cast members who are dating prisoners. Throughout the series, viewers see how their connection develops as they communicate with each other through letters and calls. Hunter is one of the prisoners who is dating Kate.
The previous episodes revealed Kate agreed for Hunter to sign up on a site where he could make money and financially support himself. But then Kate asked Hunter to cut ties with those women who were sending him money. Hunter, on the other hand, was confused about whether to tell Kate he had fallen in love with one of Write a Prisoner girls, Kaleigh.
In the December 20, 2024 episode, Hunter told the cameras that he was in love with both Kate and Kaleigh and couldn't understand who he wanted to choose. However, he did realize that soon he will have to make a decision and come clean. The Love After Lockup cast member said:

Love After Lockup season 5 episode 52, titled Indecent Proposal, was released exclusively on Friday, December 20, 2024, on We TV. The synopsis of the show read:
"Couples find love in spite of the prison walls between them, then they are united after years of supervised visits, recorded telephone calls and handwritten letters."
Love After Lockup cast member Hunter shares his thoughts on his love triangle with Kate and Kaleigh
On Love After Lockup season 5 episode 52, Kate asked Hunter to break up with the woman he was talking to online for money. As fans already know, Hunter had signed up on Write a Prisoner, where he would receive enough money to cover his expenses. Through this, he met Kaleigh, who would support him financially, and developed a strong connection with him.
Hunter explained that it was not easy for him to directly break up with those girls as he had fed into their fantasy of starting a life together with them. Later in the episode, Kaleigh was shown confessing her love for Hunter to her friend. She opened up about her plans of getting married to him eventually; she said:
"I don't feel that Hunter is moving too quickly wanting to get married because I want to marry him just as much he wants to marry me. And having a family with him actually excites me."
The Love After Lockup cast member, on the other hand, admitted on camera that he had also fallen in love with Kaleigh. However, Kaleigh's friend had doubts regarding Hunter and that they were moving too fast in their relationship, especially when Kaleigh got a tattoo for Hunter.
Towards the end of the episode, Kate told the camera during her confessional interview that she wanted Hunter to cut ties with all women who he had a "transactional relationship" with.
"To me, if he's having this sugar momma transactional relationship with them and it's purely online and it's the financial support is all he wants from all of it, then there's no reason to carry on communication. So put your money where your mouth is buddy."
