Southern Hospitality returned for its third season on January 2, 2025, airing Thursdays at 9 pm ET on Bravo. Set in Charleston, South Carolina, the series explores the personal and professional lives of Leva Bonaparte’s staff at Republic Garden & Lounge.

Known for its blend of workplace dynamics and interpersonal drama, the season 3 premiere opened with unresolved tensions and new developments among the cast. The episode prominently featured TJ Dinch, whose direct confrontations with the other cast members played a role in setting the tone for the season.

Early on, TJ raised concerns about Emmy Sharrett’s relationship with Will Kulp, alleging infidelity and sharing his opinions openly with Emmy and the group in Southern Hospitality.

These moments sparked conversations among fans on X (formerly Twitter), with reactions to his behavior. Some fans commented on his behavior saying that he is in his "messy era."

"Tj is in his messy era the reunion is gonna be rough for him at least he secured his spot for next season lol," one fan commented.
"TJ being messy again I see...," another user said
"Joe has every right to be upset with TJ for being a little messy, but once you say that someone’s ’dead’ to you, there’s really nothing left to say after that…," an X user wrote.
"Tj is so messy this season im kinda into it," one netizen tweeted.

Some fans of Southern Hospitality have shared their opinions about TJ, suggesting that his actions in the premiere reflect a lack of support as a friend.

"TJ is a s**tty friend," another fan said.
"TJ didn’t expect that selling a friend out would jeopardize their friendship ? How a joke," a tweet read.
"Uuuuugh. Already not feeling TJ. He is the stereotypical queen who wants to stir up drama. Him not understanding why Joe feels betrayed is a joke. He’s getting involved in everything he should keep his nose out of," one more user commented.
"#SouthernHospitality it almost feels like TJ was waiting for an opportunity for the cameras to come back on to air out joe’s dirty laundry. TJ’s friends need to tread lightly around him if this is how he treats his “friends” after a fallout," another user said.

Relationship updates and cast dynamics in the premiere of Southern Hospitality

The premiere episode of Southern Hospitality highlighted the current state of key relationships among the cast. Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley, now officially a couple, appeared happy, despite warnings from TJ about Joe’s past. Maddi shared her opinion about their relationship.

“I feel safe, secure. It’s everything I need right now,” she said.

Emmy Sharrett and Will Kulp also appeared united, even as rumors about Will’s behavior surfaced. Emmy remained upbeat about their future, saying,

“When are you going to put a baby in me and propose?”

Mia Alario gave updates on her relationship with Troy, sharing her experiences of managing a long-distance romance. On the friendship front, Maddi and Emmy have resolved their past issues, which has also helped improve the relationship between their partners.

However, the unresolved tension between TJ and Joe Bradley took center stage. TJ accused Joe of hooking up with Luann de Lesseps during season 2, while Joe was reportedly dating someone else. Although Joe tried to have a conversation with TJ, the latter’s unwillingness to talk suggested this conflict will continue to be a focus this season.
