"#InThisTogether" — The Circle star Kevin joins forces with Madelyn to take down Darian

Netflix's popular social media competition series The Circle returned with episodes 5-8 on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Heather, catfishing as Andy, was blocked from the chat and eliminated from the show in episode 7.

Madelyn and Rachel, who as disruptors switched profiles, had to survive the elimination to retrieve their original accounts. Consequently, they plotted to target Andy by projecting him to be disloyal. After Andy was eliminated, Madelyn lied in the group chat by alluding that Andy blamed Darian for his blocking.

Later, in a private chat with Kevin, she expanded on the lie by stating that Darian wanted to betray the "Circle Bros" alliance by aiding Jadejha and her friends. Consequently, she convinced Kevin to strategize with her to backdoor Darian in the coming blocking.

"Let's promise to keep each other at that number one ratings position and get as many people to put Darian last. #InThisTogether," Kevin said.

The Circle cast member came close to getting evicted from the show. However, he managed to save himself as he was ranked in the penultimate position. The last place went to Andy, marking the end of his journey on the show. Looking at his vulnerable position in the house, Kevin consolidated his alliance with Madelyn to take down his opponent, Darian.

"This should be interesting" — The Circle star Madelyn contemplates her conversation with Kevin

After Madelyn hinted that Andy held Darian accountable for his elimination, Kevin knew he needed confirmation. He invited Madelyn to a private chat, hoping to discover what Heather, catfishing as Andy, said. Meanwhile, Madelyn felt apprehensive about the conversation, knowing she had attacked Darian with a fabricated story.

"I feel like Kevin wants to talk to me to get more information about what Andy/Heather said. And I made it all up, so this should be interesting," Madelyn said.

Kevin immediately asked who she was referring to in the Circle Chat while discussing Andy's elimination. After much contemplation, Madelyn realized she had to get lies in order. Despite playing the key role in assisting Andy's blocking, Madelyn kept that hidden from Kevin and most cast members.

Instead, she utilized the situation to target Darian and Jadejha's alliance. She confessed they had a solid connection and could pose a threat later in the game.

"Darian and Jadejha are too powerful. They have each other's back too hard, and we need to split that up. It's not personal, Darian. It's really not," Madelyn stated.

Kevin became curious about Darian's activities when The Circle cast member confirmed she referred to him in the group chat. Madelyn concocted a story about Darian's alleged intentions to betray Kevin and Andy, hoping to pull Kevin on her side.

She revealed that Darian planned on ranking Kevin "towards the bottom to save his Circle wife [Jadejha] and her alliances." Kevin was shocked by the news and called Darian a "shady dude." Madelyn added that he tried to deflect the allegation by pointing fingers at her.

Kevin bought Madelyn's story and confessed they had to get Darian out of there. Impressed by the direction their conversation took, Madelyn said:

"I'm a genuine person, but I do think we need to do a little damage control to make sure people know I wasn't just trying to stir the pot. We need to get our alliances on the same page as us. #InThisTogether."

The Circle star knew she had Kevin convinced. To reassure him even more, she vowed to protect him from potential threats in the game. She ended the conversation with the hashtag "#ByeByeDarian."
