W.A.G.s to Riches star Sadé Vanessa and NFL wide receiver Robbie Chosen welcomed their first child, Charm Chosen, on December 19, 2024. They shared their experiences in an exclusive interview with People magazine on January 22, 2025.
Vanessa reflected on her pregnancy journey, describing it as "calm and peaceful."
“For a long time, I was very apprehensive about what would happen whenever the time came, but from the moment I found out I was pregnant up until now, it has been so beautiful,” she shared.
She thanked Robbie for being there, calling it "divine timing," and shared how much his love and support meant during her pregnancy. Robbie said becoming a father was a "lifetime dream come true."

W.A.G.s to Riches star Vanessa described the love she feels for her daughter as unlike anything she has ever experienced.
“It’s honestly amazing and nothing that I could’ve ever expected,” she said.
She also spoke about the joy and bliss their daughter Charm has brought into their lives, mentioning "my life doesn't feel real because of how blissful she makes me feel."
She admitted that adjusting to motherhood has been challenging but rewarding. Vanessa said,
“Getting adjusted to motherhood has been interesting, especially when she wants to stay awake all night. But I think I’m doing a great job!”
W.A.G.s to Riches star Vanessa encouraged new mothers to give themselves grace during this transition, talking the importance of "self-compassion." She also shared her gratitude for Robbie’s involvement in their daughter’s early life, describing how attentive and loving he has been.
“Having Robbie present with me full time was a blessing in itself and divine timing. I’m so grateful to have experienced this with him,” she added.
Vanessa spoke about the bond shared by Robbie and Charm saying, it has been the "cutest thing" to see him talk to her in his baby voice.
Robbie shares his experience as a new father
Robbie expressed how becoming a father has changed his perspective and brought new meaning to his life. He called his daughter, "Truly a blessing."
“I didn’t get the opportunity to grow up in a two-parent household and experience that, but I also hoped for it,” he said.
Reflecting on his journey so far, he shared that he has been bless with a "beautiful child" and a "great woman." He spoke about his hopes for the future, stating,
“I’m excited to live in the foundation we’ve been blessed to create and that will continue to grow.”
Robbie shared that his daughter has changed the way he views relationships and family, saying it has “opened [his] eyes" to a newfound level of love, respect, and understanding towards Sadé and women. He also expressed his dedication to being there for Charm, stating,
"I’m looking forward to being able to love her, guide her, protect her, and teach her every step of her life."
She expressed pride in how both she and Robbie have adjusted to parenthood in the short time since Charm's arrival, mentioning that filling their home with love each day has been an "amazing" experience.
